Well, if it's not one thing it's something else-- as the old saying goes.....
We just got home from the hospital. I noticed that on the way home, my mommy was not acting normal; she looked like she was trying to hold something in.... then I gave her two pecks on her nose and right then she cuddled me even tighter and she started to cry.... A LOT. When I employed my telepathic powers, I could read that she was remembering the day they adopted me-- ten years ago.
I'd been quite under-the-weather for a few days. When I didn't eat for about a day, pops and momz took me to the Emergency care center. They performed an emergency intestinal surgery then and there, given the prognosis. They did a biopsy of my intestine; the rest of the week I've spent recovering (2 days in the ER and also at my vet intensive care; 3 days at home.) The good news: I get to eat turkey baby food: YUMMI; the bad news: they have to mix in the medicine in it: YUKKI!
So fast-forward to today, Dec. 6, 2008 at around 12:15pm... and my mommy's (and daddy's) tears..... Our family recieved the results of the biopsy, which is Feline Lymphoma.
Well, I'm bummed out about this, as you might imagine. My parents are trying to be strong but it's clear to see that this has hit them quite hard. I've also noticed a very worried look on my sisters faces; droopy whiskers and all: May: http://www.catster.com/cats/928719 and Sol: http://www.catster.com/cats/928724
I want to thank my family for lighting so many candles for me-- not to mention this spiffy virtual candle here:
Since it's a 48 hour candle, mama took a handy screen shot and uploaded here so I can look at it whenever I'd like; the IRL candles she lights every night though. =^..^=
Mama, Papa, May, Sol-- be strong and I will be too.
With love and some grumpy-pants Mrrreows,
