What a nice, relaxing day...

As I sit across the room, looking over at my mommy, I'm pretty much asleep. I've been in my chair all day... pretty much! My mommy came home from school early, so I'm still in sleep mode.

She had some Sunchips earlier, which got me up. Gosh, I love those things! Mommy just lets me lick them though, and sometimes chew on them. I like Nacho Cheese Doritos, BBQ Doritos and Harvest Cheddar Sunchips.

My mom took a mini photo shoot when she had the treats out! She got some fairly good shots, she didn't even need treats most of the time to get good pictures of Caesar. He's the photogenic one, while Kumah always looks away and I just get up and leave.

So, expect some new photos on all of our pages.

Happy Mother's Day, Cat Moms!

It's mother's day! That means that I have to be extra good... I think. Well, I think my mommy would appreciate it. I mean, I did go attacking the gift that she got for her mom.

Anyways, happy mother's day to my mom and all the other cat moms out there!

I just gave my mommy quite a scare!

We're getting new siding and windows (the windows are already in so it's just the siding now, plus we got new doors), and for some reason, the doors have been... opening themselves somehow.

The first time, she walked down the stairs and Kumah was standing by a partially opened door. So, my mommy did a head check. All of us were upstairs, excluding Kumah.

The second time, the door was fully open. She did another headcheck (we're all indoor cats) and... out of all the cats, I, her baby girl, was missing! So, she ran outside, and looked around.

She found me on our other deck, crying by a chair. She called me over, so I ran over, meowing. It was really windy out, and rattley, so that's why she didn't just run over and get me. Anyways, I'm inside now, and mommy locked the door so it won't open again. She's going to tell grand-dad when he gets home from work!

I think that I would make a gorgeous cat of the week sometime. Just a little idea... heehee...

Anyways, fellow cool cats, I can't believe that I'm almost TWO years old! Imagine, I've been breathing for a whole two years, and more importantly, it's been two years since Wheezy and Poca's passing over the rainbow bridge (I hope you wonderful felines are having fun catching all the angel mice up there!).

For my birthday (which is July 24th, remember to leave happy birthday wishes!), I want a new collar, a new cool toy that I can play fetch with (maybe a collectable bottle cap?) and maybe some treats.

Mommy is doing a mini photo shoot!

That was so fun!!

I came back inside, after running around and trying to catch little flies! It was so much fun! My auntie and her friend were just coming back from a walk so they saw me in my flashy, blue vet recommended cat harness with it's special bungee cord leash.

Mommy is taking me out for a walk!

Well, she is going to try to. She's going to get my harness now, and we're gonna walk around the yard, and maybe even on the sidewalk! All them strays are gonna envy my cuteness. I feel bad for the strays though... but, there aren't many around here which is good. The local shelter has around 60 though, but most are in foster homes. A boy in mommy's class is fostering 3 on top of his family's 3 cats they had already. (he says 2 1/2 cats because one of his cats has three legs... but techically it would be 3/4 of a cat)

A note for me by my mommy

Dear Cielo,

In all honesty, I was far from a cat person and only wanted another cat because Kumah would get lonely and I needed someone to fill the void from losing Wheezy. I picked you only because your colours were unique, not because you were the one cowarding from me in the corner as I approached in my riding boots.

But, might I say, I will be forever thankful that you colour and marking made you that much more noticeable. I can say with honesty that you are the cat for me. :) I can thank you for the hours I spent trying to earn your trust and love, and now, after a year and a half, I am truly reaping the reward of my hours spent petting and talking to you.

You have opened my eyes to the world of cats, and though I still am not a cat lady... I would call myself the Cielo lady. All my friends know how much you mean to me, and when they don't believe me, I can always swear on your life and they -know- that I won't break the promise.

My friends will come over and say "do you always talk to Cielo this much?", and I always reply "Why yes, I do :)". They may think I'm crazy, but you're just as human as anyone I've met.

I never did believe that I could love a cat, of all things, as much as I love you. When you wander over to me when I have a glass of milk, I always let you have a paw dip because I love you that much. Even when I am grumpy, and you come to me with your floss stick to play fetch, I can't help but smile and throw it for you. When I'm sad, I cannot help myself from instantly feeling relieved when you walk into my sight.

When I wake up to your face, or your purr, on a school morning. Or when I look through squinted eyes and find you staring curiously at me, that's a feeling that I truly love.

We're working on my leash training today!

Well, my mommy says if it's warm out once she has the time to check... she is going to put me in my carrier and take me outside (but I'm going to stay in the carrier so I don't make a run for it and if something comes along... it doesn't get to me before my mommy does) so I can get used to the sounds so I won't freak when I'm on my leash.
