Arrival Story:
I had just moved into a new apartment with a new roomate and had left my old cats with my mom. I needed a pet, as I missed my other cats so much, so my roomate and I went to the humane society one afternoon. I really loved tortoiseshell cats and really wanted some older ones. Cosmo was sitting in her bed looking right at me and she was so pretty I had to have her. She was 8 when I got her and she is great. My new husband now loves her as much as me. *Update* Cosmo was a very much loved cat by our entire family, which now includes 2 little girls, ages 5 and 2. Sadly, Cosmo passed away on January 12th, 2010, at almost 19 years old. She lived a happy life with us, and we miss her every day.

Bio:
Like I said, Cosmo was 8 when I got her and the people who had her before said they got rid of her because of allergies. I think they just didn't like her. She was so shy when we got her and spent most of her time under the bed. I also think she may have been kicked, either accidentaly or on purpose because she was and still is afraid of feet. She has really come out of her shell since we have had her though, and although not a lap cat, will sit next to us and purr and want to be petted. I think she is so happy to be with us. She loves Jasper the most and spends long days on the couch with her paws around him. She gives us kisses often and has even warmed to Bowser, our pug.
