Arrival Story:
Monet came to me through the winds of Hurricane Ike and also a very loving black lab named Missy. She found Monet laying in the yard and she very gently picked him up and carried him to her owner who in turn brought him to me. He was not quite ten days old. His eyes weren't quite open yet. I fell in love with him the moment I saw him. I named him Monet after my favorite French painter.

My first three months

As of the beginning of December I am a big three months old. I feel that I have already lived a big life. I came to my family off the winds of Hurricane Ike. A neighbor's black lab found me laying in the yard and she carried me to her owner and then Charlotte brought me down to my new home. I have been sick already with a bad infection but with the loving care of my pet mom and a wonderful vet I have pulled through. I have a big brother and sister and two really cool cousins that I run through the house and play with all the time. Their names are Bud and Murphy. I have my favorite green furry mouse to play with and also a pirate ship to play in. That is when I become Capt. Cottonball. I love my life so far because I was brought to a wonderful family. They all love me and worry about me. I couldn't ask for anything more.
