Arrival Story: I had taken my other cat to the vet for his annual steroid shot that he gets for allergies. Our vet had a large ferret cage containing 3 black kittens with white chests--2 boys and a girl. They were about 6 weeks old and so tiny and adorable. I went home and asked my hubby what he thought about getting a new cat (we already had a dog, a cat, and a bad temporary rabbit experience). I just knew he would be the voice or reason and say "NO," but he actually gave his blessing. We were scheduled to head out on vacation, so we filled out the paperwork to "hold" the kitty until we got back. We came home from vacation and brought our sweet baby home. My youngest son was allowed to name the cat and after we "discouraged" him from names like Shadow and Midnight, he came up with Domino and then changed it to Oreo.

Bio: Oreo is a sweet kitten who loves to lay at our feet like a dog, but she's also very agreeable with being toted around by the kids. She's a wonderful lap kitty and has the loudest purr. You can hear her across the room when she gets going. She does still think she's a prairie dog though.
