Arrival Story:
When he was about two weeks old, Beignet's feral mother cat dropped him and his two sisters on the porch of a lady who had been feeding her. Then left. This kind lady called Loving Pets Rescue. This is the group our Pomme came from. I had told the director that we lost a white baby kitten awhile ago, and I've wished for another one since. The rescue was over-full, but when the director heard that one of the babies was white, she took them in. The two females were healthy, but the little white baby was in poor shape - only half the size of the other two. They nursed him back to health and called me to ask if I'd like to foster them. They were about three weeks old when they came to live here.

Bio:
I've had baby kittens in the house before, but never orphaned ones! When they arrived, the girls could walk, but the little white boy was still crawling. They were bottle fed (they still love goat's milk) and I guess they think I'm their momcat; they are the most affectionate, snuggly little puffballs I've ever met. The little boy turned out not to be pure white. His ears and tail are a cream color. He reminded me of a beignet, the New Orleans donuts fried till they're golden brown, then piled with powdered sugar. Perfect name! So keeping the NO foodie theme going, his spotted tabby sister is Praline (sweet but nuts) and his feisty tortie sister is Tabasco

Thundersnow and March Greenery

I'm sitting on the back of the rocking chair looking out the window at the prettiest backyard ever!! It's all white! And fluffy! Similar to myself. Mommy took Snoop Dogg outside last night cause he was whining at the door while she took pictures of the snow. Boy was he excited. He never gets to go outside! He strutted across the front porch and down the stairs just like he owned the block. He leaped confidently to the front walk and took three steps and all his fur stood up, he shot into the air, turned 180 degrees and bolted back to the porch where he scrabbled at the door like a frightened kitten afraid of a little snow on his paw pads. HAH! He's trying to claim that he was just startled by the thunder. Snoop says it's not supposed to thunder while it's snowing. Well I don't know about that, but Who's The Big Baby Now Snoop Dogg?!?!?

In other news, mommy brought some yummy Greenie treats for us. For St. Patrick's Day she said. In honor of the St. Patrick's Day celebrations, my sister threw up bright green cat barf on the white rug. Mom sighed. But she isn't mad. Apparently back in New Orleans, many St. Patrick Day festivities end in throw-up on the rug. The green color is just a bonus.

I've Discovered The Joy of Toilet Paper

Actually it was my sister Tabasco's idea. She figured out that if she stood on her back legs at the toilet paper holder and pawed pawed pawed pawed, yards of wonderful tissue appear!! Hours of fun!! We pounced, we dragged, we rolled, we ate, we shredded. Mommy came home from work to find the house festooned all up and down the halls. She says we're not the first kittens to figure this out. She says once upon a time Snoop Dogg had a friend named Doom who was the king of tissue shredding. But Doom was just one frisky kitten. We Are Three!!
Honoring your memory, Doom, with tissue hanging from our claws and teeth,

Who's that growling?

All the cats were playing in mom's room tonight, throwing around mousies and stuff. And helping wrap Christmas packages. Mom heard some very loud scary growling and jumped up, thinking Popcorn and Feather were bullying us little guys again. Boy was she surprised to find me crouched over my favorite stuffed chicken toy growling like a TIGER at those big cats! HAH! Bring it on Feather! Go ahead Popcorn, make. my. day. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
