I know I havent been on catster as much as I would have liked to have been but did I miss a month or something? I came back on and there are Thanksgiving Zealies and no Halloween zealies. We need a break!

Hi my friends, I just wanted to fill you all in on what has been going on in our lives, its been a crazy ride. Tates momcat Sandi speaking: I think I told everyone about while when we were on vacation my husband had a kidney stone and we had to come home early so he could have surgery for that. He also had surgery on another one 2 weeks before we left for vacation. He is doing better now, thank god. Then last Sunday I had my whole family over at my house and we were having a birthday party for my sister Karen, who is an RN nurse, and all was going good till my dad stood up and acted weird then showed signs of him having a stroke. We called 911 and they came really quick and gave him anti stroke medicine and admitted him to the hospital, he was better the next day, no signs of paralysis or anything. They kept him in the hospital till they could regulate his medicines and put him on a blood thinner so he wont throw a clot again. Then the next day, Monday, I took my mom to go and visit my dad in the hospital, all seemed good. I brought my mom home at noontime and was to go back and pick her up at 5pm to go visit my dad in the hospital again. I went back at 3 pm cuz I just felt like something was wrong. My mom didnt answer her door, so I had a key and let myself in. She was laying on the floor unresponsive, I called 911 and they took her to the same hospital where my dad was. They said she had a stroke and there is issues with her heart, she has a weak heart rate. They had to do heart surgery on her that Thursday. She had the starting of dementia prior, just forgetful, but she was still independent and active. So this stroke made her dementia worse so she needs to be watched 24/7 plus her heart rate is still low and they worry about her falling or passing out again. So we had to put her in a nursing home for her to get full care. Its the sadest thing to do to a parent but we need help for her. My dad isnt handling any of this well and he himself is still pale and thin. We need to get him better so he can care for my mom if or when she comes home. So we spent the day together yesterday and my mom seemed to be ok, we left to take my dad out to supper and get him to relax and eat something. I drove my dad in my car and we took the back, country road way. I thought seeing some foliage and quiteness would relax him. It was all good till we saw a little old lady pulled to the side of the road and she was looking at somehting on the side of the road, she flagged us down for help. I went to see what happened and it was a lady laying on the side of the road, like at the edge of a driveway. I called 911 and spoke with the emt till the police arrived. It looked like she fell and hit her head and was unresponsive. As we were waiting for the ambulance and police the lady got up and was clapping her hands and then like pinching her fingers at the air. She was all bloody on her hands and the back of her head was open and you could see brains and blood on the ground. I told the emt that. Then a man stopped in a van to help and the lady went and tried to get into his van, so he got her out and then took off. 3 more guys stopped to help and then I saw them holding onto the little old lady that found her, she passed out. I told the emt that they might need 2 ambulances now. The cops came and I went out and filled them in on what I saw and they thanked me and took care of the lady with the head injury. I left and met my sisters at the restaurant, needless to say I wasnt hungry after what I just saw. My nurse sister said that I helped save her life by calling for help, I hope that lady is ok, I havent heard anything on the news. But one thing is that it didnt help my dad out at all seeing that. We have all been through so much and we are all just taking it day by day. Seeing your parents age and not being able to help them as much as you want is very hard. Also, while both my parents were in the hospital, I had been taking care of their dog Goya. I noticed he was having a hard time eating so I took him to the vets and found out that he needs to have 6 teeth removed:( So they gave him an antibiotic shot and he is at the vets right now having dentistry work done. Ive been having to feed him baby food till they can get his teeth back to feeling better. So, we have been a tad busy but I wanted all my fur friends to know why I havent been around much. Im back!

Hi everyfur! Pawrents are back early from vacation cuz dadcat has another kidney stone. He just had surgery for a 6mm kidney stone on July 12 and had a follow up xray done and the dr said he was all clear and fine. Then they went on vacation camping in their new camper with the smelly dogs and towards the end of the 2 weeks, dadcat started with stomach pain again. Momcat had to find a hospital and take dadcat there to the emergency room. They took him in right away and took an xray to find that there is another 4 mm kidney stone. So they medicated him up enough so that he was able pack the big camper up and drive us back home. It was a miracle that he made it home and was able to do what he had to do in so much pain. But we are all home safe and sound, dadcat is still in pain and trying to cope with it. Momcat took him to the emergency room again yesterday and they gave him more medicine to see if that would give him some comfort till we can see the urologist on Monday. So paws crossed that all goes well for my dadcat and that this stupid kidney stone passes soon. Pawrents didnt even know that we had a super pawty here while they were gone. The babysitter didnt even nark on us on what we did to her...teeheee!!!! Two weeks went by so quick! I hope everyfur is doing good out there and I hope to be back on catster more now that the pawrents are home. I might be alittle busy taking care of dadcat but will check in frequently. Pawty at My House!

Woohoo!! Its that time of year again when the pawrents go camping with the smelly dogs for 2 weeks and I get the whole house to myself! That means PAWTY!!! Im going to be having a babysitter stay with me but me and my BFF Bugsy already have it planned out that we are gonna duck tape her and tie her with rope and throw her in the closet so she wont be in our way of Pawtying:) All my friends from the Russian Blues Lounge Club will be here and we are planning a big pool pawty with lots of drinks and yummy nom noms to eat. We will be having a big bbq and will be floating in the pool and playing pool games. Thongs are optional:) Momcat is making me tons of cuppycakes and is stocking the fridge with catweiser and niptini drinks so I will be all set. And if not, Bugsy stole his momcats credit card so we can get anything we need to keep on pawtying! Momcat misses me for the 2 weeks, she thinks Im such a precious angel, she doesnt know about the big pawties I throw when she leaves. They leave Sunday morning and wont be back till Aug 12 so I wont be able to come on here and check in with my friends:( So I hope I dont miss out on too much while they are away. Thank you to all my furfriends who made my day so super special, I definately feel like one loved kitteh!!! I hope you all had a happy 4th of July and were able to have fun with family and friends. It started out rainy this am and we were gonna have a Harry Potter marathon but then the sun came out so momcat plopped herself in the pool all day. So I watched her float through the window and counted the seconds for her to come in so we could cuddle and possibly give me some cuppycakes. WooHoo!! DDP of the Day!

What a nice surprise to see that I am the chosen one for DDP of the day on the fourth of July!!! It was quite the surprise too because normally catster sends me a pawmail saying that Im DDP of the day but I never received one. Its all good, I still got happy when I went on the diaries and saw my handsome face on there:) Woohooo!!! Hope everyfur has a Happy 4th of July and be safe today:) Its rainy and blah here so me and momcat are gonna chillax and maybe just have a Harry Potter marathon with the dvds that we have:) Either way, Im gonna cuddle with momcat! It would be a purrfect day to make cuppycakes, but since the diet thingy, no cuppycakes are allowed in the house:( I can only have sweet cuppycake dreams. Hello.....Hello.....Hello.........??????

Hi Everyfur, it sure is quiet in catsterland:( Im glad for my friends that have stayed on here but miss alot of my furfriends that are gone. Its like a ghostie town or sumpthin. Even my girl Paris is gone, I feel like Im single again:( I wanted to send fourth of july zealies to my furfriends, but theres none to send....???? I have been doing good, momcat has been working alot and I havent been on here as much as I would like to be. Plus with the good weather, momcat likes to float in her pool after work. She is still taking care of her elderly pawrents too so she doesnt have much time. The vet put me on a new diet since the hills science r/d diet stopped working for me. Its by royal canine and its a weird name: Satiety? I can tell you this much, dont like it! I had to be weaned off the r/d which was dry in the am and pm and canned in the am and pm. Now I just get dry in the am and pm, all of which I dont like this new food. I dont eat it all. So maybe thats how I will lose weight, I will starve to death. Then the vets will be happy with my weight. Momcat is gonna give this new diet awhile to see if there is any results and if not then she will just put me back on my regular food and let me be happy and big boned. And of course I will get to eat my yummy cuppycakes again! Oh how I miss my cuppycakes!!!! This dieting stuff has made me always want food and meow like a girl kitteh and act like Im starving to death. HOpe this new diet works, we will see. Yeah for Easter!!!

Good Morning all my furfriends, Happy Easter to you all!!! Im so glad that my good friends Bugsy and Dante hooked me up with firefox or I wouldnt be able to be on here at all. So thank you for that:) Momcats been busy with work and taking care of her elderly pawrents and then taking care of her own furfamily, the dogs are high maintenance. She worked overtime all week and then last night when she got home we were suppose to make cuppycakes, but she passed out on the couch. So, I got her up early this morning and we just made all the cuppycakes for easter!! The house smells yummy, now I get to help her frost them all. Thats my favorite part, or maybe eating them after is my fav!!!! We made an oreo cheesecake cuppycake and then we made a fruity twist cuppycake with a creamsicle frosting and then some with a bubble gum frosting. We are going to color some coconut flakes green to make it look like grass and put some jelly beans on top of them. I love jelly beans as much as cuppycakes!!!! Momcats already taken a pepcid, its gonna be one of those days, eating so much yummy food and so many cuppycakes to eat. I hope everyfur out there has a Happy Easter and gets to spend time with their family and friends. Have fun with all your easter egg hunts and games that are played today. I just wanted to give you all a big shout out and tell you all how much I love ya!!! and I cherish all your friendships on here. Also, thank you to catster for the free zealie gift. I think we all deserve that after all the problems that we've been going through on here with all the upgrades that they are doing. If anyone is still having problems on here, get the firefox upgrade, it really works. I tried to get on here without the firefox and still wasnt able to do anything on here. But now with firefox, I have no problems, I was getting booted off here all the time or the screen would just freeze up. So hopefully that helps some kitties out there that are having catster problems. Well, time to frost all the cuppycakes, hugs and kisses to all..... Happy Easter!!!! Love, Tate
