I had a nice long chat with Momcat last night and I told her everything that my fur friends had suggested to me and moist food won! Yeah! I think I will be alright without the dry food, we shall see. Im going to get 3 oz of my moist food in the am and the pm , my vet appt is in a couple weeks so Im not sure if weight will drop off that quick but momcat is trying. Even if I can have a one pound weight loss from last year just to impress my vet. I ran alittle after the laser light and momcat made me run up and down the stairs to chase it. I did it for awhile but then caught on to what she was trying to do. I went and got my cuppycake catnip toy and shredded it! I need cuppycakes! Ive been sending some of my stash of cuppycakes to my friend and twin Loki, he is the Keeper of the Cuppycakes now:) I trust he will keep them safe till this weight loss thing is over. Hope everyone is doing good for the new year, stay happy and dream of cuppycakes! Love, Tate

Good for you, Tate! You'll love your new food, I'm sure.
You may want to suggest a good book that my mommy read regarding kitties and their diets. Your momcat obviously knows a lot about how to keep a kitty furry happy--just look at you! But even my super-smarty-pants mommy (who thought she knew so much about kitties) found this book very useful. It's called "Your Cat: Simple New Secrets to a Longer, Stronger Life" and it's by Elizabeth Hodgkins, DVM. It explains the wet/dry conundrum in a way that's easy to understand.
Smoochies and cuppycakes!
I am guarding those precious cuppycakes with My Royal Life My Twin!
Remember this, do not drop weight too fast, that is not good for your body!
I will get Mamma to find that book you have James Tailor..Thank you!
Now I must go watch over those cuppycakes..
You're not over weight just under tall. Hope the weight loss thing goes well and doesn't last too long. There is nothing wrong with having a well developed tummy.
I'd LOVE a wet food diet! Only I think I'd have to insist on a few more cans than that.... Sorry your mommy is cruelly depriving you of food! Be sure to look pitiful whenever SHE eats anything... you can sneak in a few more calories when she breaks down and gives you a little nibble. Oh, and don't pay any attention to those "Cats don't eat that" comment that might precede any offerings from her plate!
So far this dieting thing is going ok, I havent passed out yet! Im catching on to her laser light game though, she makes me run up and down the stairs. I only did it once yesterday, she cant fool me! Thank you Pharoah Loki for protecting my cuppycakes till this diet thing is over:) Purrs and hugs, Tate
Tate, good luck on the diet. My mommy says it's for your health. You'll even be more handsome big boy.
