Arrival Story: These 3 baby kitty's were rescued as feral kittens when they were 3 weeks old. they were born in a dangerous area and it wasn't safe to leave them unattended. they came from a colony of feral cats that we take care of everyday. The 4th kitten of this litter had to be rescued when it was only an hour old. It managed to wiggle into some weeds and get caught up in them. I had to untangle this new baby and move it away from the weeds. it still managed to find its way back into the weeds again. So Again, i had to save it. And at the time we were in the process of feeding the colony of approx. 22-27 cats and this baby was in the feeding area where all the other cats ran to and trampled on him. So that was when we said "this kitty has to be saved from himself", and we took him home to our relatives who ended up taken him in. He is still alive and well today.

Bio: These kittens were taken to the El Cajon Animal
Shelter where they will be sent to foster care till they are old enough to be fixed, givin their shots and adopted out. Unfortunately the babies are the only ones we have been able to rescue at this time. But we are on a waiting list to get cages to trap, fix and release the rest of the colony and we will continue to care/feed these cats and rescue the ones we can.
As of April 3rd, 2009 we have had a least 9 more litters of kittens born. However we don't always see the kittens...but this week in may we found 2 kittens (grey striped and orange tabby-aprrox. 5-6 weeks old unfortunately, we have not been successful in catching them. Then also there are 4 more kittens approx. 3-4 weeks of age...2 orange, 1 lite grey, 1 black and brown and 1 dark grey stripped.

Lives Remaining: 9 of 9
