ME-2's MEWS
after Vet VisitMarch 22nd 2010 5:07 pm[ Leave A Comment | 14 people already have ]
We just returned from the Vet. I am afraid that the diagnosis is actually worse than an electrical burn. It seems that I have contacted a Calici virus. The vet said that this is not treatable. It has to run its course of 7 to 10 days. It is most common in shelter animals. How I contacted this is anybody's guess.

I was diagnosed with Calicivirus as a kitten, but it doesn't sound anything like what you have. Maybe we have a different strain here, I don't know. We're hoping you get better quickly and it doesn't spread. Sending healing purrs and prayers to you and your family. Hope you all get better soon. Try to have a great day. Love, Kibbles, Francis, & Yoda Rhino and calici are fairly common in younger kitties. For some it is very mild. For others it can turn into worse. We've had good luck getting rescue babies thru it =) Just keep hydrated, keep eating, and watch for any eye/throat lesions and make sure your chest stays clear. Keep warm and well hugged by your parents =) I'm sending purrrs of healing straight to you! ~Biscuit Oh my....we just read Karma's diary....we are purring for you.....
