We just returned from the Vet. I am afraid that the diagnosis is actually worse than an electrical burn. It seems that I have contacted a Calici virus. The vet said that this is not treatable. It has to run its course of 7 to 10 days. It is most common in shelter animals. How I contacted this is anybody's guess.
He also said that 20% of the times this is fatal. However, I am healing since my visit
there on Saturday. The lesion in my mouth is smaller by about 1/4. I am a lucky one, I think. However 2 of my siblings are now showing signs of this. so we are all 3 in quarrintine in the basement. Please send purrrs for Pitch & Trouble. I hate that I have infected them.
Also please pray that none of my other siblings develop this thing. Mom Is not sure that the 2 older kitties would survive a case as bad as mine.
Thanks for thinking of us..
We love you all.
Sneezy purrs, Me-2

I read about your burn in Karma Kitty's diary and am so sorry to hear about this virus now. I will be purring for you and your siblings. I am so sorry to hear that this has happened to all of you. These shelters really need to be more responsible in testing kitties.
Me-2, we are sorry to hear you have this bug. I was diagnosed with Calicivirus as a kitten, but it doesn't sound anything like what you have. Maybe we have a different strain here, I don't know. We're hoping you get better quickly and it doesn't spread.
Sending healing purrs and prayers to you and your family. Hope you all get better soon. Try to have a great day.
Love, Kibbles, Francis, & Yoda
Rhino and calici are fairly common in younger kitties. For some it is very mild. For others it can turn into worse. We've had good luck getting rescue babies thru it =)
Just keep hydrated, keep eating, and watch for any eye/throat lesions and make sure your chest stays clear.
Keep warm and well hugged by your parents =)
I'm sending purrrs of healing straight to you!
Oh my....we just read Karma's diary....we are purring for you.....

I read Karma's diary and now yours. I am so sorry this is happening to you and your family. I will be purring non-stop for you all to recover fully.
