Christmas Tree

We now have a Christmas Tree!! It's very strange.... here's what happened:

1. My pawrents brought a tree inside. Helloooo, trees usually grow outside, not inside!!! I think they have mice in their brains.

2. They decided to hang toys on it. Why would you dangle tiny toys just out of my reach? That's cruel. Well, a few of them are in my reach, but I get yelled at terribly when I try to play.

3. They filled the space underneath the tree with presents. I really liked sleeping under there and poking my head around, but now there's no room for me!! Hmph.

I like the smell of the tree. It smells kind of like the air in our screen porch. I wish I could go outside....

Birthday and acknowledgments

My birthday was a few days ago, on December 20th. Okay, so it's not really my birthday, but my humans decided that my brofur Random and I should have a birthday. They don't know much about me or Random so neither my humans nor I know when my real birthday is, but they got us on December 20th so that's when we celebrate. We had a nice birthday. I got lots of attention from my humans. Anyway, I'm 9 now!! Or, that's what they think.

Christmas Eve!!!

OMC, I can't believe it's Christmas Eve already!! Tomorrow people are going to tear up boxes covered in paper with their claws and then squeal with joy about what's inside. I was perfectly content yesterday, sleeping under the Christmas tree by the heater, until people started to bring down boxes and bags, invading my personal territory! And they hung dangly sparkly things just to torture me because I wasn't supposed to play with them. Well, I suppose the boxes and bags do offer some protection when I'm sleeping under the Christmas tree, like I am right now. Well, I'm going to take a nap.

Birthday Birthday Birthday!!!

Today is Me and Random's "birthday." Well, okay actually it's the day we were adopted from the shelter, but our humans treat it like a birthday. We don't get presents, but we get lots of love and attention. Instead of birthday presents, they give us extra toys in our stockings on Christmas.

The humans have relatives coming tonight and so there was a lot of cleaning going on yesterday and there will be more today. As they were cleaning out closets and making room etc. there were just to many hazardous objects that Random or I could eat and so we were shut out of the bedroom ALL NIGHT LONG. So that wasn't a nice birthday present.

1. I hate catnip. Well, not really hate, but I don't really see any point in it.
2. I love to look at birds and try to chase them from my screened-in back porch.
3. I will do anything to chew on a pen or knock it over while you're writing.
4. In the morning I purr in my human's face. I am her purrrsonal alarm clock!
5. I like to play with my furriend Random.
6. I have all of my claws! This is good for picking up and ripping paper.
7. I love being brushed. It's like a game for me, whenever my human brushes me I always try to bite or grab the brush!

Let it SNOW!

OMC, it actually SNOWED today! Well, there have been some very light snows before, but nothing that actually stuck. Well, I guess I'm pretty excited, or at least my human is. She's walking around, singing Christmas carols! I'm an indoor cat, so I can't go outside in the snow, but it's fun to watch. But after a while, it gets--*yawn*--boooring.

Brrrrr... Winter

My humans are all gathered around the FlickerBox (they call it a TV) watching something called "football" and it's snowing inside the FlickerBox! On the football game they're watching, it's snowing and it's cold!! We don't really have any snow on the ground yet, but my humans say that it's gotten pretty cold and that I can no longer go out on the screened-in back porch like I do in the summer. And there are 38 days until "Christmas" which is when everybody puts gifts in their socks and hangs them up and give presents! And we usually get catnip and some new toy mice! Anyway, it's cold and soon it will be winter and there will be white powdery snow and it will be colder!
