Cucaracha RIP

It is with great sadness that I relay the news of Cuca's passing. He was just running around on the cat tree being silly as usual, then about 15 minutes later he went into acute heart failure. He "threw a clot" which lodged between his aorta and femoral arteries, cutting off the blood supply to his back legs. There was nothing that could be done, he was in great pain, so he was euthanized. He was only 7 and had shown no signs of disease, but apparently that's not too uncommon for cats. I will miss him greatly, even if he was a super brat at times, and I know Nitro and Mini Mew will miss him too. He and Mini were really close. I used to say "He's just a tabby" but in actuality he had the most personality of any cat I have had. I don't think there will be another quite like Cuca.

I thought missing an eyebrow was uncool enough...

Now there is a new situation, even worse! A few days ago I decided it would be great fun to sneak into the "forbidden room" and terrorize the roommate's cat Zippy. Well, I certainly did succede in terrorizing her, but she managed to get me in the eyes somehow. I thought I'd just be cool about it, like I was just squinting as a fashion statement. Mom wasn't fooled. Now I am stuck wearing the dreaded "lamp shade" and I get my eyes gooed 4 x a day. The other cats are all smirking at me, seeing me brought down to such an idignant state. What next?

My Eyebrow

Lately it has been noticed that I don't seem to have a right eyebrow. Mom laughed because she could only imagine the ways this could have happened. But that was a while ago, and it's still gone! Mom checked old pictures of me, and sure enough I used to have a right eyebrow. I'm not sure what this all means, but it's a little harder to be so cool with only one eyebrow...
