Gizmo's Senior Years
R.I.P. Gizmo 6-7-09June 7th 2009 11:28 am[ Leave A Comment | 1 person already has ] Gizmo crossed over the Rainbow Bridge early this afternoon, just short of his 16th birthday. He will be greatly missed.
Age 15 +March 31st 2009 7:05 pm[ Leave A Comment ] I am so blessed to still have Gizmo in my life. Yes, he is slowing down, and has lost a lot of weight - but he's still as sweet as every. Yes, he has arthritis, and he is hyperthyroid, but my Vet is the best! She is trained in traditional vet. medicine, but also in Eastern vet. med. So by simply making a couple dietary changes for Gizmo, and adding some fish oil and B vitamins to his diet - plus herbs for hyperthyroid - he has been doing so well. It's amazing for an almost 16 yr old cat - he can still jump, and his meow is the loudest every. Ok, yeah, he's losing his hearing a bit, but I think it's selective hearing loss. Funny how when we open a can of "anything" with the can opener, he comes running! But you could call his name until you were blue in the face and he won't budge! I guess at his age, he's entitled to be excentric! :)
