Arrival Story: Aragorn came to live in the complex when he was 6 months old. When I first met him, he was such a cuddlebug, liked to be held on his back and purred and purred and purred. As his mom and dad were very young and not home a lot, he became the extreme escape artist. I would open the blinds in the morning and he would be waiting. When I came home from work, he would be waiting. He would spend weekends with me. When Aragorn was about a year and a half, his mom and dad needed to move but could not take him with them and asked if he could stay with us. OF COURSE I said yes.
Bio: Aragorn was born with a serious heart condition which was diagnosed when he was about a year and a half so he became an indoor only kitty. It took a while for him to adjust, but he finally did. He had the slightly crossed eyes of the Siamese, but the personality of the Abysinnian. He was very, very active, always in to mischief and just a joy to have around. Sadly, he only lived to be a little over 4.

Today is my one-year anniversary crossing to the Rainbow Bridge. Meowmy has been keeping very busy so she doesn't feel so sad. When I came to live with meowmy, she knew I wouldn't be with her for a long, long time, but every day she kept hoping it would be longer rather than sooner. I made it to a little over 4 years, but, of course, that wasn't long enough.
She's been looking through all my pictures, wishing I was still with her and all my brofurs and sisfurs. She's remembering all the times she and Auntie Suzanne had to "rescue" me from the roofs I used to climb on. How I would groom her when she first woke up. How I would paw and cry at the door where the feather wand was kept until she would play with me.
I know she is wishing I was there, looking at her so she'd pick me up and I'd give her kisses and when she'd put me down I would tear around the apartment, up in the window, then on top of the closet (she was always afraid I would slip from the ledge when I did that), and even onto the beam from the closet.
I also know that she is happy that I am now healthy and will be forever, that I don't have to worry about too much exercise or having trouble breathing.
But she also knows that I sent Toby, not just because she missed me, but because he really needed somebody to love him like I knew she would. Meowmy has a big heart, which is good, since she keeps leaving pieces of it with all of us.
Remember meowmy, we is all waiting here to welcome you when it is your turn. I luvs you meowmy.
