Arrival Story:
As a kitten, Marco lived with his brother and the people catty cornoer across the street. These people wre/are not good pet people. As the kittens grew a bit, the people put them outside, where they remained all last winter. In the spring, they decided to visit my porch and became friendly with me. One was a gray tabby(Marco) and the other a brown and black tabby. the people directly across the street wanted the brown tabby because he looked much like a kitty they had lost. But they could not catch im. I told them I could get him for them. and so I did...I took him to be neutered and to have his shots and when he returned from the vet's, I took him to their home. He was named Ozzy and now lives indoors with lots of love. Marco sort of moved himself away from the people who did not truly care for him. He sort of splits his time between my house and another place a few houses away. He has become very affectionate. He has been neutered and has his shots. I think he would hang around my place a little more, but one of the older porch k itties will chase him away often times. Marco is a very sweet boy And I do my best to look after him.
Bio:
Marco was a very sweet boy. He divided his time between my house and another house about 3 doors away. When our weather recently turned killing cold with below zero temps, I considered trying to find him and bringing him inside and putting him in the old dog crate. He did not get along well with my other cats. However, I soon found he had taken shelter in the heated boxes on my porch, so I left him there. The weather thawed and he left the bos. Then yesterday (1-22-09), my husband had to come home to keep an appointment. He found Marco lying in the gutter, dead. We don't know for sure what happened. It seems likely he was hit by a car. But whatever happened, he was right in front of our house where he could be found. My heart breaks for this sweet and wanderful and handsome boy who lived a much tougher life than he should have had to. He now lives at the rainbow bridge in eternal sunshine and warmth surrounded by many new friends. We shall meet again one day. Rest well, sweet Marco.
