Arrival Story:
We had move into our house , about a block from the local shelter, and had been on the lookout there for a kitten, or cat, had to be a girl, preferably a calico. After going by the shelkter every few days for a while, we hadn't seen a cat we liked, but there was an older female who had been dropped off pregnant, and was just about to have kittens. Being in a small town, and being friends with the animal control oficer has its perks, we were first on the list to choose a kitten when they would be ready to go. Two days after the kittens were born, someone dropped off a litter of kittens, about 7 weeks old. Climbing up the front of the cage was a little torti, who screamed at the top of her little lungs when we looked in. We took her home. (About a week later, an incoming cat brought a bug into the shelter, and all of the baby kittnes died from it)

Bio:
Meow was a deciding factor when it was time to look for a second cat to join our household. We tried more than one, on trial runs from the shelter, to see if we could find one she would get along with. It took more than a couple tries. Meow loves water, and is very verbal when thirsty. When she was a kitten, we gave her food and water in the bath tub to keep the dogs from eating her chow, and emptying her bowl. Soon she learned that water came out of the spout, and nw refuses to drink water from a dish. She will sometimes use a bottle though...
