indoors Arrival Story: My very first cat, Rocky, passed on and left his "brother" Rollo behind. We were all very sad and lonely. Then the vet who had taken care of Rocky told us about a cat someone had found on the street. He seemed to have been a pet because he was clean and healthy and not afraid of people. But the people who took him in (a very nice Goth young couple) already had several cats and couldn't keep him. When I went to see George, he butted me on first sight, but he was hiding under a table. It was "great cooga mooga, get me outta here." So he came home with us and stayed another ten years. He never liked Rollo so very much or our other rescue, Sandy. My DW resented George for bullying Rollo until Rollo and Sandy were gone and George was with us alone. He loved it and we adored him. The three cats and dogs I have now are all After George. Bio: George stopped breathing after a serious operation to remove his spleen. My greatest regret is that I was unable to meet a qualified vet at the clinic that kept him overnight; only a technician was available and she was clearly terrified to see the cat go so suddenly. I actually was forced by the vet by phone to remove George and I had to PTS at another clinic. Moral of the story: if you decide to go ahead with critical surgery ask in advance about the circumstances if it goes wrong. Not asking can be a nightmare. I've Been On Catster Since:
