Max's profile say's he lives in Kentucky, but that's because I created his page and live in Lexington, KY. Max lived his entire life in Portland, Oregon. I remember when my son went to a wedding reception many years ago and spotted a beautiful, obviously purebred, young cat hiding in the bushes. (see page 231 of "The Encyclopedia of the Cat" by Michael Pollard, that was Max in his prime.) Max was very possibly a Himmie, he certainly had the fur for it even though his nose, like Pasha's, was in the wrong place.
But who cares ?!! He was very special, very loved, very beautiful and he knew it. No one in the neighborhood knew who he belonged to and no one wanted him either, so my son picked him up, took him home and kept him and loved him forever.
Bio:
Sometimes the kindest things are the hardest things we must do. Max had terminal cancer and in the past couple of months wasted away to nothing. In the end he only weighed about seven pounds. It was a hard decision to make but the best one for Max. MAX... what a CAT....he was wonderful, what more need be said?
