Arrival Story: Kitty was a stray, or runaway that a friend of mine found and took in in 1999. For a while she was known as "Cat on the Porch", as she was restricted to the sunroom/porch of his house for her safety and the safety of the cats already living there. When I moved into my first apartment, he and another friend wanted me to adopt Cat on the Porch, to which I was fickle, because I at the time, wanted a kitten. Then I met her, and we bonded. We laughed, we sang, we slammed down a few boiler-makers (kidding), and I asked her to be my roomy. She has ever since 10/10/1999.

Bio: Kitty has lived in 2 different homes since her adoption. She also has had one other feline roommate besides her current ones. There was Brutus, of whom she had become the boss, since she was much smarter than he was. Together they both had one day planned, and succeeded, in knocking over my hamster tank, sending my two dwarf hamsters into a panic and running around my apartment. I found out about this plan when I heard the noise, ran into the living room, and saw two cats run away from the scene in opposite directions. Fortunately, I rescued the 2 traumatized rodents and moved the cage to a safer location. Hmm... I wonder which one of them spearheaded that assault.
She also has a "take no crapola" attitude with both current roomies, and with me, but especially my youngest.
Kitty has a black spot on her upper back, in the middle of all white fuzz, so I occasionally press it to see what that button is for. She also has saddle bags that developed with age. She feels like a bowling ball when you pick her up, but she really isn't very fat. When she climbs up on your chest or stomach, brace yourself. It hurts. :)
