Time to get cooking

OMC! it is almost Thanksgiving! Mama and I love that holiday!
We will be making a smoked turkey breast and a regular turkey breast..and my famous crock pot dressing..I have some new measuring spoons, plastic retro style..I love them!
Oh I cannot wait to get cooking! Rolls and casseroles and veggies!
Mama has the week of Thanksgiving off though she will be having a gastro/endoscopy done that Monday, she says she will be ready to cook!
So what will you be making? I hope you will share!

Very scary

Today I learned that Miz Rose can run on 3 legs while using her 4 th, the front paw, to beat me. It now appears she is capable of sustaining a 3 legged run/smaky paw attack for several minutes.

The window

I was sitting in my window last evening, thinking my orange cat thoughts. I spy the gecko! I meow ' Hey little fella, come here. I have a favor to ask.'
He stopped and glared at me and said in a surprisingly deep voice,' Cat, I did not get this big by falling for that line. I know you cannot eat me as my skin has a nasty toxin in it that will make you puke and foam. However it does not seem to stop you felines from grabbing us in your claws and tossing us about for your own personal amusement. No cat, I think I will pass on the invite.'
and he crawled off. I was shocked! I have never grabbed a gecko and tossed it about for my own amusement! I may think about it and paw at the glass when I see one but never have these claws pierced the skin of a gecko!
Well maybe that one time but I was just playing!
So now what to do? I have to find Loki a brain to his brawn for his detective job. Oh my wee head hurts. I am a Chef! I must concentrate on creating food, not catering to the whims of a mad cat!
Then Loki joins me. I close my eyes tight. He head buts my shoulder and speaks, ' Greetings my brother! Have you found my Watson yet?'
I gulp and then start to clean myself. He observes this grooming awhile then he swats my wee head! Hard! I meow, ' Why did you strike me?'
Loki meows.' It is not advisable to lie to Pharaoh oh lowly chef. And don't you dare start beating your silly head on the wall either!'
I refrain from head banging just in time. I sigh and meow, ' I have not found a worthy Watson, yet but I am working on it brother.' I am about to speak further when he waves his paw and meows, ' No worry. I have decided you will do just fine. Just have to work on your appearance and that dreadful southern accent of yours. You sound like a yokel. I need refined. And close your mouth Chef! You are not a gecko waiting for a bug!'
I close my mouth to the faint sound of gecko laughter.....
