Well it is the day after the big meal.
I must say it was a most pawsome meal indeed.
We did not have as many coming as planned ,as many of those folks were sick with the flu. So many are these days.
However things went well in The Kitchen here.
Our turkey turned out delish!
My Lady and I used butter under the skin and filled its cavity with apples, cranberries, onions and celery and more butter. Poured a nice white wine over it, lightly seasoned it with sea salt and course ground black pepper, and oh the aroma!
The ham was fine too.Our dressing was the best.
I had a recipe from my cousin GUIDO for sweet potatoes. Oh they were to purr for!
Everyone there said to My Lady they were the best sweet taters ever. Where did she get the recipe?
She said, I was given the recipe from GUIDO. He is a cat. An Italian cat.
A few laughed. My Lady said, no really. His mamma, Baci, married our Redd Catt, in October in Venice Italy, and GUIDO is a Chef cat, like my Chef cat, Rooster, and they have a cooking group online and exchange recipes..
OMC! You could have heard a kitten whisker drop.
She grinned and said she would be glad to share the recipe too.
MOLMOLMOL...
It is going to be a great day Cats! The sun is shining here and leftovers beckon to be eaten once more! Football is on the telly and thankfully, my family is not going out to shop Black Friday!
I hope you all will have a good weekend!
Christmas is drawing nigh my friends!
Please join us, if you can, at Calling all Chefs. We have food, gift ideas and fun for all!

It is true!
Dad brought home a new crock pot for Thanksgiving. My Lady was complaining her other crock was too small for a ham (it was)
and she told Dad, Chef and I need a larger crock pot, a 6 quart, oval with 3 settings, and since your family is coming....She trailed off, Dad sighed and tonight the crock came home! MOL
I inspected it thoroughly, assisted in the washing and drying of it, and when My Lady placed it in its sleeve, I stepped in it and gave it my official Chefs Pawprint of Approval! I left my nose print on the clean lid too!
I dont understand why My Lady washed it once more!
Now I must go and finish all the prepping. My Lady is coming down with a cold or flu and so it is up to me, Chef Rooster, to carry on.
If I dont meow at you all tomorrow, Happy Thanksgiving!
Purrs
