Arrival Story:
I found Phinni in the woods in West Virginia about four months ago -- she'd been shot in the face with a dart gun, and had been surviving on her own for months with the dart in her head (see photos -- there are two below of her the day I found her, with the dart). She's the friendliest cat I've ever encountered. She walked right up to me purring the moment she saw me, desperate for help. I took her to the vet, had the dart surgically removed, and have nursed her back to health. She's in perfect shape now -- she's young and boisterous, wonderfully affectionate, and very smart. She's also very lucky: There was no permanent damage from being shot, and today you'd never know it happened . I am, unfortunately, allergic to cats, so I can't keep her. I'm looking for a permanent home for her -- must be with a serious pet owner, best if it's in a place where she can go outside safely (in or near woods, away from cars, etc). She's been an indoor cat since I found her, which she's okay with, but I would like to see her go to a home where she can also go outside. She's litterbox trained, very playful and fun. She sits beside me on my desk while I work, and we have endless fun playing chase with a laser pointer -- her favorite game.
