Laying on the arm of the sofa right beside my mom, or being wrapped up in a baby blanket and held.
I hate any sort of aggression, and I'm terrified somebody's gonna take me from Mom
a clean, kleenex ball--I can bat it around the carpet w/ my stubby arm and it doesn't make my arm hurt. But it sure does make Mom's guests wonder if Mom's just being gross. NO--The tissues on the floor are CLEAN!
Favorite Nap Spot:
the sofa arm
tuna, and Gerber's strained baby ham, and bacon
I'm the Man of the House. I make sure all the other kitties eat first, and I always eat last. Even when it comes to treats. I'll wait to make sure they all get some, and then when I know they're all taken care of, then I'll eat
I began fostering Sam when he was a newborn. He was 1 day old and weighed 3 oz. I took him home in the palm of my hand. He was found alone under a bush and had already sustained a massive injury to his left rear leg and was missing his left front leg from the middle of his "forearm" on down. He was bleeding & crying when I took him to foster. I fed him w/ an eyedropper every hour and took care of his wounds. He is now 3 legged and handicapped on the left rear leg. He's my buddy, my best pal. He also has a bad right eye--Don't know how that happened. He had it when I got him.
It was awesome seeing his ears unfold, watching his eyes open for the first time, and watching him take his first few wobbly stumbles. I took him to work with me in a quart sized basket wrapped in really soft flannel and put the basket on my desk and fed him every hour. I spent a lot of time wrapping him in warm flannel baby blankets, and even now when he gets scared, he wants wrapped in a blanket and held. I'm the only mama Sam has ever known. His biggest fear is being taken from me--so he runs from strangers. I think Sam has 8 lives left because he has to have used one of them just trying to survive getting started in this world. Because of his special needs, he needs special care, but if every person could have a cat as gentle and loving as Sam, there would be no homeless or unwanted cats in the world. They'd all have homes.
