Arrival Story:
Saw this sweet girl and stopped to snap a picture of her. She was a little shy, but curious, and soon came over to say hello. No collar/tags, a little dirty, some red colored bugs in her ears, and a little underweight...I felt a bump between her shoulder blades and decided to take her home with me.
Got home, bathed her, clipped her nails, and cleaned her ears with NO problem. In fact, she purred the entire time.
Took her to the vet on Monday in hopes that the bump was a microchip.
Unfortunately it wasn't a microchip. It was a pellet from a pellet gun. Some idiot decided that she would make for good target practice. I told the vet to vaccinate her and that I would be keeping her. No more getting shot at or scrounging for food for this lil girl. She's my newest addition to the family.
She's aware of Dakota (my pup) but more or less indifferent, just as Dakota is of her. I couldn't have asked for a better situation. However, I've not given her much opportunity to check out the other family member...Friski...a cockatiel (bird). lol and I don't on giving her any opportunities either.

I was so lovingly tagged by my pal Gollum! That makes for a heck of a 1st diary entry, dontcha think?? I hope you enjoy the following '7 different and amazing' things about myself.
1. I was used for target practice, and survived! I now have a loving home and will never be shot at, ever again!
2. I've never scratched anything other than my super cool scratching post.
3. I like to give my momma love nibbles, and I have a special "coo" that I do when I want lovies.
4. I rarely *meow* unless I REALLY want something.
5. The d-o-g, Dakota, keeps trying to play with me...maybe one day I'll give in...
6. Sometimes I sleep with my head on momma's pillow, just like a person!
7. My name means "diamond in the sky".
Now I have to tag 7 other kitties...... Nigel, Nemo, Lucy, Enzo, Sergei, Wolfie, and Natasha!
