Arrival Story: My meowmy is a good furiend of Auntie Barbi who is the meowmy to Picasso, Snowmitts, Jaspurr, Aspen and Biscotti (who are ragdolls) and Cocoa and Kashmere. Well, my meowmy talks to Auntie Barbi daily on the phone. My meowmy had always wanted a Ragdoll and since Auntie Barbi has many, my meowmy has talked at length about Ragdolls and knew of the breeder from whom Auntie Barbi gets her babies. Another furiend on Catster who gets her Ragdolls from the same breeder had decided to get another Ragdoll and Auntie Barbi (who is a good furiend of Auntie Sam) sent my meowmy a picture of the new kitty (PorkChop) that Auntie Sam was going to adopt. When my meowmy visited the breeder's page, there I was... it was instant love. So, Auntie Barbi contacted her breeder and put my meowmy in touch with the breeder and I was selected. Auntie Barbi was looking at several kitties and had selected my brofur Cannoli. They could pick us up on the 2nd of October after we were spayed and neutered.
On the 1st of October, my meowmy and dad drove 10 hours to NJ where Auntie Barbi lives and spent the night with her. Meowmy said it was great to meet Auntie Barbi, Picasso and his furmily. They had a good time. Auntie Barbi and my meowmy put my page up that night and then they went to bed.
The next morning they got up and drove to PA to meet and pick up my brofur Cannoli and me. They visited with our breeder for a while and loaded us in the same casrrier and headed back to Auntie Barbi's. Cannoli and I were a little overwhelmed with the big kitties there. I hid under the TV stand and Cannoli stayed under the dining room table. We were a little shy at first. Then, it was time for my meowmy and dad to start the long drive back home.
We ended up staying overnight near Richmond, VA because it was getting late. My meowmy shut me in the bathroom that night so I would not get lost in the room. Then we got up and drove the rest of the way to NC. I came in the front door and went to the computer room where I had to stay for 15 days. Then I met the furmily. My meowmy tells me it was the best introduction effur with furry little growling or hissing.

Ol' Hooch is really hissed at our meowmy. She has allowed him to fall way behind in his diary and manners. I told him that he had better cool his jets or else...
Actually, Meowmy allowed all of us to lag and fall way behind. I don't think she can handle doing so many things that December brought us. In fact, this whole year, Meowmy has lagged behind on effurything.
I would like to thank Serafina Tilly and Mafia Princess who sent my furmily and me a purrty heart yesterday. They said, "We haven't been on much since mom got pregnant, but we wanted to say we love our friends!!! Love to all!!"
I hope my meowmy will get my Christmas pictures loaded on my page. I got some really thoughtfur gifts from my sweet furhusband Mr. Lollycat McNoNo. I need to show my pawresents on my page! *glares at Meowmy*
Hooch has written in his diary about why we have been so quiet and I am borrowing some of his diary to start mine off. Meowmy says we have never been so far behind in our lives. We are hoping to get back to normal in 2010.
Our Christmas Day was furry full. Meowmy started the morning off with serving the delicious French Toast casserole to my brofur Jim and his girlfuriend Donna and to Jim's son Jimmy and his beautifur bride of two years... Amy. They had some very nice fellowship and a relaxed family moment before the "frenzy" began. After they had breakfast, Jimmy and Amy went home to prepare for the family Christmas gathering. Jim, Donna, my day and meowmy began preparing the delicious smelling food to take to Jimmy's. They baked ham and a turkey and would you believe that NONE of them would give us a bite. How rude. It smelled so delicious. Jim helped Meowmy and made the deviled egges. Meowmy says she doesn't know what he did but they were some of the best she has effur eaten. Meowmy put the potato salad together. Effurything smelled wonderpurr.
It was a VERY rainy day. Actually miserable, according to my meowmy. When they got ready to head out to Jimmy's, they had to put plastic over all the pawresents and food. They had the car totally packed to the brim. My pawrents did not get home until night and Jim helped my meowmy get her router hooked back up so that they can use all the catputers... my dad has a dinosaur and slow one and Meowmy had a laptop, in addition to the main catputer. It seems that when our DSL went out.... I don't know what DSL is and Meowmy WON'T tell me... she always spells it. How rude! Anyway, when the DSL guy fixed our phone and DSL lines, Meowmy thought that maybe her router was still working but the ol' gal did not know how to get it back up and running. Thank goodness for her catputer guru son Jim.
Speaking of Jim, I want to give a praise report on him. He had a CT scan recently... before he went back to the lung specialist. His appointment with the lung specialist was on December 23rd. Jim got both good and "iffy" news about his condition. The GOOD news is that the lungs are clear of the fungus! The "iffy" news is that he DOES have some scarring. We don't really know what that means for Jim down the road. His treatment with the antifungal will go on for another 6 or so months as the bone involvement takes much longer to cure. So, he is to return for another report on his progress with the fungus attacking his bones. He is still short winded but that may be the result of the scarring. The OTHER issue they found was that Jim has kidney stones waiting to "surprise" him and a cyst on his kidney that must be watched. Given the prognosis a few months back of terminal cancer, we are so very thankful and grateful to have gotten such wonderpur news about Jim. Thank you to effuryone who has prayed for my human brofur. Please continue to remember him in those purrs and prayers... but know he has come a long way into becoming more healthy.
My meowmy says she wants to apologize to effuryone who we have not contacted this Christmas season. She has been overwhelmed this whole year. In addition to the 12 of us kitties and 2 doggies, Meowmy has 5 grown children and 14 grandchildren. This keeps her time furry busy and shopping for the crew this year was really a job. We did not even decorate our home until a few days before Christmas and that was only minimal this year. We did not end up putting up a tree. Meowmy says she thinks it upset the whole furmily but next year she will do better.
Last night, I got to finally open my two pawresents from my sweet furhusband Mr. Lollycat McNoNo. I got a wonderpur China Doll soft bed. It was The Snowflake bed and it is just beautiful. I will be dreaming of my Lolly for sure. In another box, I got a cool battery operated laser toy! It is too cool. All my siblings want to play and will have fun with it. I got a picture of Lolly and he is so adorable. I think Meowmy will frame it for me. I also got catnip mice and bonker balls and will be will entertained for hours! I got a tail chaser toy that has catnip in it and I have had a ball with it.
Meowmy got two packages of candy cane fudge hot chocolate mix. It sounds delicious but my meowmy told me I can't have any. She loves hot chocolate and this will most certainly hit the spot on the cold days for her.
Both Meowmy and I love our gifts but we love Lolly and his meowmy more.
Thank goodness that I got to open my pawresents before Meowmy's camera battery died. Some gifts had to wait until today because my meowmy said we need to take pictures before the gifts get scattered all over our home as we play, play play.
Today, we got to open a package from Auntie Barbi, Cocoa and all the kitties. They gave us two bags full of mice, balls and catnip toys, Pounce treats, a stocking with Karisma's daddy Monte's picture inserted in it and a reindeer teaser. I can see Meowmy having fun with us on with it. Meowmy got a beautifur silver plated Christmas ornament from Auntie Barbi. It is a cute cat peeking out of a watering can. You can put a picture of one of us inside it. I wonder who will be chosen to go in the ornament?
I got behind, like Hooch, on my thank-yous for rosettes.
On the 5th, Henry sent me a snowflake. He said, "Karisma, so sorry about your traumatic ordeal! Your daddy better be more carefull! Lurvs King Henry" Henry understands my dilema with my careless dad.
On the 13th, my sweet sisfur-in-law Midnight Blue sent me a furever diamond. She said, "My dear sweet sister in law Karisma; thank you so much furr my furrever emerald & furr marrying my brother, He loves you so furry much! I can ALMOST relate except he is my my brother so I can't let him know! Much love, Midnight Blue"
On the 23rd, my sweet future sisfur-in-law Calamity and her precious furmily sent me a Christmas stocking. They said, "We wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday season with all our love and best wishes fur a PAWSOME NEW YEAR!!!! Calamity, Henry, Calia, Romeo and Kana"
On Christmas Eve, my sweet brofurCannoli sent my furmily and me a snowman. He said, "Dear Karisma & Fam~ Sending you lots of wishes fur a beautiful Catmas and New Year. May you get everything you asked fur from Santa Paws! Thanks so much fur the lovely Catmas pressies and fur of meowmy, too! Love~ Cannoli & Co. xoxo"

My sweet furhusband Lolly sent me a Deck the Howls!! He said, "Thank you sooooo furry much for my presents! You are so smart; you know exactly what I wanted. I is so happy that we is married now cause I love to say Mrs. Karisma McNoNo! *gently gives her sweet cantip kisses* I love you furrever! Love, Lolly"
My meowmy got a call late this afternoon from my doc doc. She said they had gotten the results back from my blood test to see if I had any heart disease. I was negative for any problems. My doc doc told my meowmy that for once, we got really good results back from a test. No problems with my heart.
You see, this year we have battled lots of different issues with several of my siblings. Hooch has been the worst and sickest by far with a multitude of illnesses that seemed to just flow into each other. But, we have been blessed with good furiends who have purred and prayed for us during this ordeal of the sick kitties this year. Meowmy says she thinks she will be happy to say goodbye to 2009.
We have lost so many furiends this year to the Bridge but they will always live in our hearts. We are so glad we knew each special angel and wish they could still be here with us.
