My new nickname is "Purplie".
Mom read something about the animal terrorists "admonishing" someone because they put pink Kool-Aid in their puppy's fur, coloring it pink. She gueses this was done to make people see the puppy better, like "what a punk!"
So, Mom dug out her purple Kool-Aid, and called me over. I purred and purred. She explained the purr-otest. That if an animal's health and wellbeing is never endangered, they can be any color they want - no color bias allowed. She explained that I would be a "punkster". Then she let me smell the Kool-Aid, which smelled funny, but not bad. I begged for treats.
Mom put me on my back, in her lap, and scratched my belly so much that I could not stop purring for a whole fifteen minutes. The Kool-Aid was involved somehow. She kept saying "you have to sit here for 15 minutes and then we're going over to the Evil Water Torture" and then you're gonna be ejust as beautiful as before, but a new color added too!".
Oh what fun. The belly rub was just such a delight.
Then she took me to the water torture. I howled and howled, but there was no dunking, and no fizz, and no scrubbing. It was a very mild incident of water torture, she was calling it "not a real bath, just a rinse". I guess she just wanted to put me in some warm, water torture, which started to turn a grayish color (she said it was kinda purple, but I'm a cat, I can't see purple, but the bird can). I did my part to make sure she knew how awful the water torture was.
When I came out of the torture, she put a "towel" over me. She gave me purr-delightful petting all over. I could feel my fur getting drier by the second. I was a little wet, and a little cold, for a few minutes, but the petting felt so good! She even made sure to use the "towel" between my toes.
Then she gave me a HUGE bowl of food and treats. What a lucky day. Except the water torture. There's so much food and treat in front of me, I don't know what to do, eat the treat first? or the food?
Don't let anyone tell you what color you can or cannot be. Racism against cats and dogs is plain wrong. Humans who take this good care of their cats are rare! In WI they want to shoot kitties because people have stopped caring! I am now Purplie, the Purple-Hearted Cat. I still have a warm, happy home, and I still hate the "outside". Mom says she'll put up a "picture" when I am all fluffy-dry again. Until then, I'm off to purr-otest (and eat, and sleep, play 'kill the mousies')!

After the holidays and all the fun times, I had a boring time. I just sat around and did noting much. Then one day Mom got this big box, and when she opened it, there were these big furry things in it. They had huge ears and they were bigger then me!I was not scared of them and I tried to get them to come and play, but Mom said they were frozen solid, so they couldn't hang out.
Then Mom, who is really my mom-cat, showed me how to get to the food. She carefully removed the silvery furry stuff and then gave me some of the meat.
YUM!
She is some predator! There's so much meat on those big furry things with big ears, that I'll be fed for weeks.
She calls them "jackrabbits". I like when she plays with their ears and makes them look at me. Then I do my best "please give me a treat" meow-chorus at the furry thing, and then usually within an hour, I get a REALLY yummy treat.
I still love quail, but Mom says we haven't been able to raise enough to "put me on them" as in, a diet of them (plus taurine and vitamins she says) so for now I have to leave them alone. Sometimes she shows me the quail just to tease me, and the quail will even taunt me with their songs and peeps.
I went outside last week when it was 71 degrees outside. It was beautiful. We ran around the "barn" and all over the fields!
The spring is gonna be great. The winter isn't too bad either.

What are these crazy humans up to?
There's a tree in the living room, it looks like it's from the Forest that I see out my window, and it has all these lights on it, and some shiny things. I even found a toy Mousie under it!
My tree is taller. :)
The humans that are owned by Aunt Kittie came over to my home yesterday and these people put the shiny things on this tree, along with Mom.
I was a little scared, but I did purr after about half an hour of getting petted and played with. Then Mom gave me this great new food! It tastes a lot like my other food, but it's "wet food" so I love it.
I got all crazy and wound-up and played Lord of the Covers for an hour while Mom was trying to sleep.
I'm six months old now, halfway to Full Cat Status.
There's lots to learn and explore.
Oh what a fun day.
