DERECHO

This word has been all over the news since we had one of those derechos on Friday, June 29th. Ask the 'Weather Guys" on a local TV channel even had somebody asking what a derecho was. Anyway, see Bail's diary for the definition of what a derecho is.

Anyway, Mommy has a new middle name for me which is, you got it, Derecho! The reason for this is when I get the cat crazies, I run so fast and anything that gets in my way, gets knocked over. I did that last night with the remote to her CD/IPod player, and also I knocked over a plastic container she uses to put cereal in (so ants don't get in). Many other times I knocked over the cactus plant from the kitchen windowsill, tore out moulding from a kitchen cabinet, and have my sibs running for cover when I run my straight line from the bedroom to the kitchen and back. Yep, I'm a wild kitty which she says can be compared to a violent storm.

My cat crazies are due to my breed (I'm part Oriental short hair). I'm not a derecho, Mommy, I
also couldn't help knocking over the remote last night as I wasn't after it but a centipede that was on the ceiling above it.
