Arrival Story:
I "put it out there" that I wanted a new kitty. Someone at a craft show had some new kittens that needed homes. Safire was the loudest of all which made her endearing. I brought her back to our tent. After a tense moment where she was almost chomped by her new doggy-brother Sandy she was lovingly placed in a box for the ride home. She had the most brilliant blue eyes. Even though, I knew the eyes would change I named her Safire. However, the spelling is that of William Safire (the NY Times Conservative Columnist).

Bio:
Safire has the tendency to "get in over her head." She has climbed up a tree, got stuck inside a couch, attacked the dog, managed to get stuck in a heating duct, and fall in the toilet.
