My First Birthday at the Bridge

Today I am celebrating my first birthday as an angel at the Bridge. I really love it here! There is no more pain, no more pills, and I am very happy! I do still miss my family, but I check in on them from time to time. I hope everyfur has a wonderful Valentines Day!

Purrs for my Dad

My dad has been having lots of trouble with his neck and back of his head lately and he is going in for tests today to see what might be causing it. Mom is so scared right now that it will be something serious. Her eyes are leaking. I am looking over them and sending healing angel dust, but could I ask for some help? Just purrs and prayers and more healing angel dust. I miss my mom and dad and I worry about them.

I sent mom a message

Today was going to be a very hard day for mom. She was going to the vets office to pick up my ashes. She really didn't want to go, but I knew it would be ok. When she got there, I led her over to a corner of the office and there was a cage full of kittens in it. She instantly fell in love with one and begged dad to let her keep her. Dad said yes and mom is on cloud nine! She brought this precious baby home. She is only 8 weeks old and still needs a name. Mom has a few she is running around in her mind, but she want to see what dad thinks. She will have her own Catster page as soon as she has a name and some good pictures.

No More Suffering

I am an angel now. No more pain, no more medication. Mom and dad decided not to wait until tomorrow because I had really gone down hill since yesterday morning. I wasn't interested in food or water anymore. I was weak and it wasn't going to be very long before I made the journey to the Bridge on my own, but Mom and dad didn't want me to suffer any more. I am happy. I am seeing lots of familiar faces that have made their journeys before me. I do worry about mom and dad though. I will keep a watchful eye on them. Take Care my friends. I will check in from time-to-time.


This is Java's Mom--He made a very peaceful journey to the Bridge this morning. He was a fighter though. We had to give him an extra dose of the sedative to make him ready for his final journey. I know in my heart that we did the right thing by him, but we are all hurting very much. We came home and found Princess sitting in the same spot that Java had been spending his last days. We are going to miss him terribly. I can't tell you enough how much we appreciate the love and support we have received from our friends here at Catster. Thank you all!!!

The news is not good

Mom talked to the vet yesterday morning and the leukemia is in my bone marrow. Mom and dad did alot of talking about me last night, but they kept arriving at the same spot and that is to help me make my final journey on Sunday. They are actually hoping that I will make it until then. I have started going downhill and I am not interested in the food anymore. They are trying anything I might eat and I am just not interested. They also haven't seen me get a drink in a few days. I am just sitting with my head down. Dad said he is going to take me outside when he gets home today so I can enjoy the sunshine on my face. I will make sure that mom updates my diary after I have made my journey. Take Care all my friends! I love you all and appreciate the love and support you have shown me and my family.

Well, the news isn't good. Mom and dad found out that I have leukemia. They are waiting for one more test result to come back and if it is positive, I will be making my journey to the Bridge on Sunday, March 20. The test will tell them if the leukemia is in my bone marrow, and if it is, there isn't really anything that can be done to help me. I won't be able to make the red blood cells I need to get well. Mom and dad are fussing all over me and watching me to see how I am doing. They are taking such good care of me, but they are really hurting right now. I will let every fur know what we find out.

I need Prayers and Power of the Paw!!!

Well, I went to the vet yesterday and I got poked and prodded. They took my blood and gave me a shot. Mom heard back from the vet this morning and she was told that I am a very sick kitty. My red blood cells are seriously low. I guess that a low normal count is 29 and I am at an 11. I am now on prednisone to help me to start building my numbers up, but I am still very sick. Mom and dad are VERY worried about me. Dad is worried that I might make my journey to the Bridge overnight. Mom is hoping and praying for the best. I will keep everyfur posted.

Meowmy is still worried, but.....

Mom is taking me to the vet tomorrow morning. She is still worried about me. I haven't lost any more weight, but my energy level is coming down and they have to bring the food to me instead of me going and getting it. I will write an update to let everyfur know what we find out.

Meowmy is worried about me

My meowmy is kind of worried about me. She noticed that I have been losing weight and doesn't know why. I am eating and drinking like normal, and have energy, but still I am getting thinner. Does anyfur out there have any thoughts or ideas on why I might be losing weight?

Mom, wake up!!!!! I'm Cat of the Day!!!

Hey mom, get out of bed. Look what I found on the computer! I am Catster's Cat of the Day!! How can you sleep when something this important is going on? Ok, fine, you go get your coffee and I will start this.

What can I say, but a big huge Thank You to Catster for giving me this wonderful honor. I couldn't have been more surprised! I have received many rosettes and messages and I am going to make sure that mom takes notes and we will be sending thank you's for every one.

P.S. Can anybody help my mom make something to post on my page. I would like something like when other kitties have gotten this honor and they have a picture of the announcement on the main Catster page and they usually post it on the right side of their pages. Does this make sense?
