DOTD!

What a crazy week! First I was at home on earth with my loved ones, then I end up at the rainbow bridge. Then I get to be Diary of the Day!

Thank you everyone for being so good to me and my family. mommy especially. She really needs the comfort and support the most. Everyone has been so sweet with all the gifties and sweet pawmails. Thank you sooooo much everyone. I wish we could thank everyone individually. Mom has been trying her best, but we keep getting behind because of the overwelming warmth from everyone

Hello from the Rainbow Bridge

I've finally arrived that the Rainbow bridge. It's sooo beautiful. I've met tons of new friends and played lots of games. I've sent my mom, dad and brofur sweet kisses on the winds to make them feel better. Mommy is so grateful for everyone on Catster and Dogster for all the sweet pawmails gifts and rosettes. She is doing better now and finally got some sleep last night. She isn't crying as much. I think she is finally accepting that I'm ok and not in any pain or anything. She lays on the ground by where she buried me and crys for a bit and talks to me. I just wish I could hold her and purrr in her ears to make her happy again.

Thank you everyone for being such a great bunch of friends to us. We really love all of you so much. Thank you for all the luvs, support and prayers. They mean alot to us. All of you have made this new chapter in ours lives easier to go through.

My sweet baby has passed away

Last night at 9:30 pm central my sweety Athena passed away. She had a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. The vet said that in cases like hers it happens so quickly and progresses so fast that it's hard to catch in time. She showed really no signs really. She was sleeping alittle more than normal, but toher than that she seemed fine. But when I got home last night from work she was having a real hard time breathing so I rushed her into the emergency vet office and found out after they took xrays. Then we woke her normal doctor up and sent him the xrays and he agreed that she was too far along. I did get to spend some time with her before they let her go. We snuggled on the floor and she purred. Then I had to let her be at peace. I'm so grateful she was in my life.
She taught me so many things. She taught me to be have courage. She lived happily with her three legs. If she couldn't climb on something she found a way to do it. She was not going to give up no matter how long it took her. She taught me unconditioanl love. I've never loved someone as much as her and I never will. She taught me patience. When she couldn't drag one of her toys she took one small step at a time till she got it to where she wanted it. She taught me to trust. She trusted me no matter what or where. Like when we went to the vet for the first time and she got her shots. She let me give her to her vet to do his thing and came right back to me. She knew I would never put her in harms way. Most of all she taught me strength. She held on last night so we could spend time together. That took strentgh out of her that I could never imagine having.

She will be missed terribly. But atleast she had a chance to live a wonderful life outside that shelter she was in when I got her. She lived a life of a small princess and passed away as brave as a knight.

4th of July weekend

Well this 4th was busy. Mom and dad had people over for a BBQ and everyone was walking around making all sorts of noise. People kept picking me and my brofur Jake up and making cooing noises. I have no idea what they were saying but I know that I wanted to go back to napping and they just would not let me! I did get to go outside before the fireworks. Everyone wanted to see how I can walk on a leash. I got lots of treatsies for that. I do love to show off!!!! Mom was working out of town during the week, but now she's working alittle closer so she's staying home again. soo yea!!!! my typist is back!!!!!

My brofur

Well, I have a brofur now. His name is Jake. He's a chocolate lab. He's alright I suppose. I wacked him in the head to prove I'm the boss in the house. Then I sniffed him alittle and layed on the pillow next to him. We aren't playing yet. But I guess I'll just keep my distance and tolerate him. But I must say, he needs a tic tac. His puppy breath is terrible!

The goings on

Well, it looks like I'm going to be sharing my home with a puppy soon. I overheard my dad tell my mom that he's going to be taking in a puppy that needs a home, but he won't be here for another week or so. It might not be so bad, If I do something wrong I'll just blame it on the puppy!

The Cats Meow

Also I was tricked last night into getting a bath. Unpleasant as usual, but now I smell all pretty. I rubbed up against me dadcat so he would notice. You know how human men get, they never notice anything! Well, thats it for now!

Lots to meow about

I have tons of news and what not. My first birthday is Friday! My momcat is going to make me a kitty cake with hard food as the crust and soft food as the filling. She made me one of Thanksgiving and I luuuuvvved it! So I get another. really it sound big, but she makes it in a itty bitty food bowl, so it's more like a snack. But is so delish!!!!

And Easter is Sunday! Another first for me. Mom is going to try and get me to do a egg hunt. She got plastic eggs and put treats in some of them and cat nip in others. Fun!!!

I broke into the treat bag today! I chewed a nice line through the bottom of the treat bag and got some yum yums. Momcat took a picture of my work. The theft wasn't easy, it took forever, but as soon as I ate my yum yums i realized all that work was sooo worth it! Momcat will be posting the picture of the evidence sometime this weekend.

ummm. well, i thought i had more to meow about.... I'll go take a nap and if i think of what else I wanted to meow I'll post it. Untill then puuurrrs, kisses and Happy Easter!!!
