Entry 13... Happy New Year :)

3:40 pm

Happy New Year, Merry Christmas, yada yada yada. I'm bitter. I didn't get ANYTHING for Christmas--well, except for a few treats that is, and they were all smushed looking. Ashton and Dusty got colorful play mice and lots of treats! Basically I just laid on the brown chair (which Benjamin (who is Morgans dad-- Morgan is my owner) calls "the cat chair"). Well that and got ignored.

And PLUS, my black cat friend hasn't been hanging around. Either he found a family or...well, let's just say he wasn't quite cut out for forest life. Well, he did seem like a bit of a wimp. (But who am I calling a wimp? I run off the deck like a complete idiot if I see one of my owners walking towards me!, and I won't come in at night until it's absolutely too cold for me to stand anymore). Well.... Survival of the fittest.

PAUSE. . . . . I heard something.

I look down. Dusty's sittin there below the computer chair where I'm sitting and he's howling like a dying wolf.

"Hey stupid," I snap. Funny how Ashton's head shoots up from where he was taking a nap. "Not you, Ashton. Moron," I mutter under my breath.

"Gypsie, I need to check my Catster! And I need to see if I have any adoring fans," Dusty licks his paw dramatically.

"Ha! In your dreams," I meow-laugh. "Well whatever. Hold on. You can wait a second, can't ya?"

Fine, well, Dummy here's got his tail in a knot, so I'm gonna let you go. He won't leave me ALONE.

Entry 12..... Black cat

October 2, 2009

I have a friend... His name is Coal, and he's a big, black cat. We'll sit out in the front yard together and just chat about the local news. He'll bring news of cats far away (he's a loner and doesn't have a single home). Sometimes he'll come up on the deck when he's really hungry & he'll eat our food, but usually he stays away. I told him he should think about getting a permanent, forever home, but he said that's not the kind of lifestyle for him.

Coal is a nice cat, and he's helped me fight off raccoons before. They come up all the time, along with possums. We usually back off when they come up but lately Ashton has been hissing and extending paws threateningly when they show up. Eventually he just scurries off to the green cat "palace" (Yes we still have it).

Well I better go. Bye ;)

My baby boys are growing up. They'll be 6 months old next month, October 3. I do more on my own now, since they know how to hunt and everything. they are turning out to be handsome boys, and I'm sure they will stick around our territory since we're such a close family.

I can't believe that they are 5 months old already... they are turning into such big boys :)

Entry 9...Another Day in my life...

I feel much better today...I feel more alert. And now I can actually jump up onto the railing! (I couldn't do that yesterday...i was pretty sleepy and uncoordinated from the anesthesia). My owners are very pleased that Im getting along so well. They kept me outside today, although I'll probably stay inside tonight.....

This morning, Ashton and Dusty were playing on the back deck (where we mainly sleep and play on now) not paying attention to me, so I slunk off into the woods for a few minutes....

....I came back with a (still alive) mouse that I dropped on the deck and let Dusty play with it. He tossed it around for a little bit, and then it tried to drag itself away using its front legs (it's back two were broken). He played with it for a little while longer before we went under the deck and ate it.....

I have high expectations for my kittens.... I hope they are good hunters when they grow up.

Well, furrriends, I'd better go.

Meeeow!

June 1o, 2009

I have been doing better....i think the anesthia is wearing off but i can't be sure....I've been mostly sleeping all day, but I ate a little too. There's this thing in the computer room with tiny gray pellets in it...I saw Ashton go potty in it, but even though I have to go, Im not exactly sure....

Last night they wouldn't let me outside, I wonder why. I think I heard them debate it but Morgan said "No it's raining outside and her stitches would dissolve... Let her use the litter box" So then discussion closed. Nothing else was said about it. I meowed and meowed but they just brought the "litter box" (which turns out to be the box with gray rocks in the computer room) to me. I looked at it and turned away....I don't know what i was supposed to do with it!

Well I'm very very tired, I think Ill go sleep now. Mrrrow.

June 10, 2009

I'm very tired. That's because of something called "anesthia" (sp?)...It's what vet's give cats when they're going to give them surgery...so HMMM why do I have anesthia in me??? Well that'd be because i got "spayed". Whatever that means. But I think I have an idea (I don't have that urge, if you know what I mean...)

Yesterday morning, Morgan & her mom Lynn & sister, Hunter, put me in the cat carrier...yes, that one. The one they only use when they take me to the vet. There was a towel at the bottom of the crate, and that helped calm me a little…but not a lot.

Hailey figured that since I meow a lot, I was going to be making a ruckus in the car on the way to the clinic, but that didn’t happen. . . . .
I was so scared that I was going to get more shots or another “rabies” (what even is that?) preventative.

When they stopped the truck, I looked around and meowed hopefully. . . . . maybe they'd forgotten to take me wherever they were going to? I can't remember much after that . . . . . only that my family left and I was taken into a big room with shiny silver tables and scary-looking objects. I shut my eyes when I was put into the corner.

A few minutes later, a man with white gloves reached into my crate (me hissing a tiny bit from fright) and put me on the table. Other women held me as he injected something into me . . . . and that's when I blacked out.
I faintly remember when Morgan and her family (all of them this time, mom, dad, and sister) came and picked me up. The evil people who worked at the place came back into the back room...they picked me up. I drowsily croaked (trying to hiss) and gave up and rested my head back onto the towel at the bottom of the crate. It smelled like my kittens (Morgan and put them on it before we left that morning so that way their scent could get on it). It was comforting. I hoped they were okay. I hadn't seen them for a whole day!

On the way home, we had to stop, so Morgan opened my crate's door a little and stuck her hand in. She stroked my head for a few minutes and then stopped and buckled back up. We were on the road again.

Once we got home, it was starting to storm...Morgangrabbed my carrier and took it inside to her room. She didn't let me out yet. Then she went back outside and brought Dusty and Ashton inside (They had stayed outside all day by themselves!).

Morgan kept me in her room for a while, but eventually I slipped out. I just wanted to make sure my kittens were ok and I wanted to check out my (inside) home that I frequented during the winter. Everything was A-Okay,so I went back and laid down in Morgans room where her sister shut the door on me. Not that I minded now. I was still groggy and just wanted to go to sleep. So i crawled under the bed and slept.

Eventually Morgan did let me just stay out in the open, with all of them. Not just locked up in her bedroom. Oh, and they were talking about the reason they were keeping me seperate from them and the kittens was because 1) I need rest, and 2) If Dusty and Ashton tried to suckle from me they would hurt me, and if they jumped on me or played roughly with me they would hurt me. I understand.
Dusty kept trying to get my attention by shoving his paw under the door. It was very cute. I mrrrowed with laughter when I saw it.
After my family let me out, they were extra careful to keep the kittens under control. I went behind the couch (where I stayed for a while) and slept. They put laptop bags and lapdesks blocking off the entrances to behind the couch, that way the kittens wouldn't disturb me and I'd get some rest.

Well, I'll write about my day TODAY in a new journal entry. Meow.

Entry 6...Gwen Stefani!!!

My mommy just took the famous-person cat test for me and I'm ROCKIN GWEN STEFANI!!! Oh yah. I'm so good. Here's the decription:

* * * * * * * * *

A stuff-strutter and a trend-setter, Gypsie is rock star Gwen Stefani!
There's no doubt that Gypsie was born to entertain—her vintage look mixed with her modern style keep her public (not to mention her owner) coming back for more. Her jaw-dropping looks may mean that she's a common occurrence on the PetStar Magazine 50 Most Beautiful Pets list, but a player she is not: Gypsie is as loyal as they come. Despite the amount of attention she receives from devoted fans, it's not hard to see that underneath that well-groomed rock and roll coat, Gypsie is, after all, just a girl.

* * * * * * * * *

I'm hoping to get more friend requests soon....if you want to be my friend, just send me a request and I'll accept :-) I'd LUV to be furrends with anyone who wants to be!

Well, Ive gotta go take care of my babies ;) I still love them even if they ARE a little spoiled.

Love yas!!!!!!!

Entry 5....Rotten Kittens

Those rotten little kittens get whatever they want....I guess it's just because they're so cute. Still...grrr. I have to BEG for attention when they're around....And HELLO??? I'm the one who had them! I'm the one who has to take care of them! Those Humans just don't appreciate me enough!

Hmph!

*sticks nose in the air*

Anyway, my owners have made this green thing that they have stood on the front deck.....directly above where my kittens and I sleep....since my kittens climb and sleep on it all the time, i have decided it is some sort of "cat paradise". I don't really have any interest for it but for some reasons, my kittens really like it. It looks just like something you'd find in the pet store (or at least that's what Morgan says anyway...) except it has green indoor/outdoor carpet on it. Morgan says she'll try to put a picture of it on here sometime.

She also says she has "very cute pictures of the wittle baby kittens" that she needs to put on here.

Big surprise.

Shoot---DUSTY! DON'T EAT THAT!!!! THAT'S A SNAKE!!!

Got to go, bye!

Im going to take my kittens out to hunt soon, I think. That way they will be prepared..They are starting to get more and more frisky and are starting to bug me. Morgan and Hunter and Benjamin and Lynn are starting to bring them soft Pounce treats and they are eating them so I guess they may be ready to be weaned soon...They are 5...almost 6 now, i believe...weeks old.
