Birthday: July 4th 2006 Coloration: Tabby and White Likes: To lay on his back and have his belly stroked Pet-Peeves: Ivan playing too rough with him Favorite Toy: A piece of string Favorite Nap Spot: On the carpet or in a lap Favorite Food: Evo canned chicken Skills: He sometimes sleeps with his head under himself; he can scoop cat treats up and out of a wooden box with ONE PAW! Dwells:
indoors Arrival Story: His story is the same as Ivan's - they were born in a hollow high up in an oak tree. Their mother is our semi-feral barn cat. She raised her kids well, and Ivan and Boo were unafraid of us from the moment she brought them to see us. Boo ended up medium- to long-haired. His mother is a long-hair muted toirtoiseshell. We took him back to the farm after about a month in the city, and he saw his feline mom out the window and meowed for her! After a month! Awww! Now he's very independent but loves to snuggle. He thinks we understand felinese and tries to talk to us humans all the time. He also lets out little burbles and squeaks constantly. His fur is VERY FINE and soft and floats through the air all the time. The Furminator does a great job in reducing his shedding. Normally we vacuum once a week and we empty about a GALLON (volume) of fur from the vacuum cleaner each week! Since obtaining The Furminator, the weekly cat hair collection seems to be getting smaller. Bio: Boo's full name is Boogernose (thanks to his human dad) but he is NEVER called that anymore. He was so named because he has a pink nose with a dark spot of pigment on it. Sometimes we call him "the jock" and his brother "the brain," because Boo's a beefy, strong guy, but he continues to surprise us with how intelligent he is. He's also much more even-keeled than his moody brother, but he does like to give love-nips now and again. We have a wooden box with holes in it, and we put cat treats in it, and Boo can scoop treats out in one paw - he looks like a raccoon or monkey when he does it! That was the last clue that he's probably part Maine Coon. He also has big tufts of fur between his toes. Because of that, some people compare him to a snowshoe hare. Like Ivan he follows mom everywhere, and he especially likes to guard her as she sits at the computer. Lives Remaining: 9 of 9 Forums Motto: Boo is a scaredy cat! The Groups I'm In: !!! Highlights: He's a scaredy cat but getting better all the time. Sometimes he appears to jump straight in the air, all four feet off the ground, for absolutely no reason. He loves to sleep on his human mom's lap on his back, and he curls his head under his body. Sometimes he scrunches in beside his mom in the chair and his head falls between the arm of the chair and mom's leg, and the rest of him stays on mom's lap. He's the upside down cat! Nice of Ivan to just barely remember that it's my birthday, too. Happy birthday to US (and to the U.S.)!
And, unlike Ivan, I will wish you all a happy Fourth of July, but I will also urge you all to stay indoors tonight, and hide under the bed, like the rest of us! Though I have to admit that right now it's so quiet that it's kind of hard to imagine the chaos that will break loose tonight!
We are all sobbing here at our place because we just learned that Rocky Ann crossed the Rainbow Bridge while we were absent from Catster. Don't get us wrong, we're so happy she's there with all of our Rainbow Bridge family, but she was such a rock and pillar of Catster that we are shocked she's gone. Frankly, we never paid much attention to her age. She lived a long, good life. But we are going to miss her terribly. We send our warm thoughts to her mom and dad.
I'm not Obama, but I did enter the Bissel MVP photo contest. Would you vote for me? I promise to represent you as fairly as I can to all vaccuum cleaner consumers in the country. Mom and dad own a Pet Hair Eraser vacuum cleaner, and it's da bomb (we have no financial interest in Bissel).
