Arrival Story:
Hubby and I came home from errands & grocery shopping late one Saturday morning, heard a cat screaming, as if in pain. We looked all around the house, none of ours seemed to even show any discomfort. More cat-screams, so we looked outside (it was a fairly nice day, so most of the windows were open) for any injured critter, cat or not. Nothing in the yard, nothing near the road. We go back inside and there are more screams. We suddenly remember the basement (dank and dusty, it's used very little), and that an o'possum alomost got down there through a doggie door once. We grab a broom and a flashlight, and head down there. We've hardly taken 3 steps from away from the stairway, when this scrawny little Siamese runs over to us from behind the furnace. He's wearing a too-tightflea collar, but no other collar and no tags. We take him to our enclosed front porch and give him food, water & a litterbox. He's very hungry, and tries to thank us with his yeowls while eating, making the poor fella sound like he's drowning. We made up fliers and contacted our vet to have him checked out. I also posted one of the fliers at the local shelter & gave them information for their "found" database, and they also searched through their "lost" database, but didn't find any matches. He was checked by our vet and has since moved in from the porch.

Bio:
Even though I have posted fliers all over, and canvased the local neighborhoods, the only call I have gotten about a lost cat is from a lady whose cat ran out when she was moving in to her apartment, and her's is a green-eyed tiger, not a blue-eyed Siamese. He's put on 2 pounds since we've had him, and is still eating! Our vet determined he is a Seal Point Siamese, very probably a pure bred. He was intact when he found us, and we have since had him neutered (if the owner ever does claim him and pitches a fit, I'll send them to the local shelter to see how many kittens/puppies are euthanized each day), and he is playing with our other cats more & more every day. The two pictures of him on the bamboo chair are the first day, the others were taken 11 days later, and he is now a Happy Cat.
