Arrival Story:
I had lost my 13 year old Persian to cancer in Nov. 1996 and was NOT going to get another pet. One Saturday a few weeks later I was driving by the Salt Lake County Animal Shelter and felt an irresistable force telling me to go in. Most of the adult cats were uninterested, sleeping or eating. As I came to the last cage in the adult cat room I heard a "mew" and saw this gorgeous cat looking at me, kinda sideways, flashing her blue eyes. I went to the desk to ask about her and they said she was available, that two families had expressed initial interest but then hadn't shown up for the second interview. So the lady at the AS took her out of the cage and put her on my lap. Well, this little cat started purring and just cuddled so close I knew we belonged together. Since she was white with blue eyes the AS attendant told me she might be deaf, but I didn't care I couldn't leave her (she's not, she hears EVERYTHING!) Angel and I have been together ever since, 8 years and 1200 miles!

Bio:
My Sweet Angel passed away on June 29, 2007. She was at home with me, and though her last hour was not a happy one, I was with her and let her know she was loved and tried to keep her as comfortable as possible. She is back in Heaven now, with my Mom and other Angels.
