Bio:
I have been around a long time I am told, but, that doesn't matter so much to me. I act like I feel. I often run by my sister (adopted) Nephthys and whack her on the head. I am the alpha here. I am the Lord High God of the Universe, and my worshippers tell me so almost often enough. I have been with my Mom since I was born and for the last 11 with my human male. They both treat me as the royalty I am. I so have Mom wrapped around my paw! 10-11-5 It is with great grief that I report the passing of my beloved and devoted companion of the last 19 years at 7.23 pm on October 10, 2005. He was 19 years and 10 months old. He fought well and bravely and was sick for about 4 months. He was brave and loving, and I have never met a soul like his. I was privileged to love him, walk with him, carry him and make a lap/food/open doors (and rescue him from situations where he needed human help) from the day of his birth to the day of his Crossing over the Rainbow Bridge. He waited until I took him home and then meowed once, gave a shiver as if making a jump, and was gone. I know he was waiting for me to come take him home. I look forward to holding him again when I pass over. I love you Ivanhoe.

I was going to tell you all something about how I came to be here. In California that is.

I started off being born in Texas. My mom took me from Dallas, to Houston, to Austin. When she met her (now EX)-mate, they took me via small airplane to Florida. I howled so loudly that they could hear me over the engine of the plane.

In Florida we first went to Tampa. From there she took me to Orlando. In Orlando I thought things would be normal. Well, things were fine until they brought home Nephthys. She is ok, but I still prefer being solo kitty. I get more wet food that way.

They decided to go back to Austin. So we all packed into a car and drove there. When the humans got restless, I swear they both just need to sleep more often and stop all that silliness, they moved back to Florida again! This time to Fort Lauderdale. We were there and everything was ok but then mom said something about her job moving us to California.

My sister and I were put into bags. Yes, little black zipper bag things. They were not uncomfortable but they were small and I had great trepidation about this "flight" since I am experienced in such matters.

We were taken to a VERY noisy place and had to go through something called 'security' - this makes no sense to me.

Nephthys had to be taken out of her bag so that the bag could go through a tunnel, as did I. Our humans carried us and we were forced to wear these horrible pink harnesses. Well, I guess the place was too much for Nephthys because she all of a sudden jumped out of the males hands, somehow got out of her harness (I must ask her how she did that someday) and then the human was juggling her as she howled and tried to escape. He did not let her escape but he did get very scratched up. She was stuffed back into her bag with little dignity. I did NOT act that way and was shoved into the arms of a stranger while mom tried to help the stupid male.

I was just happy to go into the bag and lay down. The flight was ok. I didn't howl because it was not like the last one. Not near as noisy.

So we finally were brought here. To Orange County, California.

(Yawn!) I need more sleep. That way I can run around tonight. More later...

I love to sleep on my mom, she is so soft. The vet gave me medicine - YUCK! . I drooled all over his arm for giving me that pink liquid stuff..he claims it is medicine..Ha! I know better. They are just trying to control me. I know it.

I had a drink from the faucet just now. I noticed Mom over at the computer and promptly jumped into her lap. I can thereby dictate this better. She has those thumbs. Ohhhh, if only I had thumbs. I have heard of the lucky cats who have them...oh...I can dream still.

I will drool on her as she writes this. Ha! That will teach her to put eyedrops in my eyes!

Hold still human! You are moving too much. Anyhow.

I was sleeping on the couch earlier, minding my own business and then a very LOUD noise came from outside. It annoyed me and was quite frightening too. I got down and had something to eat.

I liked it when She left a blueberry muffin on the table. HA! Thought I could not reach it didn't you? Silly human. I got the muffin and savaged it. It was good too. Buttery...

Then Mom caught me in the act the second day. Damn! I must remember only to do these things when she is asleep. Ah, oh well. She would not give me any muffin but did come across with "cat" treats. Those are pretty good though.

I will enter more about me later or tomorrow. Now I must get down and go eat, then I think I will sleep some more.
