Yoda was taken to pound by family that bought him. They said he was vicious. My dad and nephew worked at the pound and finally got out of the guy that Yoda only bit one of the kids after the kids had been holding him by his tail. My nephew brought him home (lived with my parents). Later, I moved in after my house burnt. Nephew moved away later and Yoda didn't like his place so was brought back.
Yoda thinks he is my baby. When he wakes from nap, he hunts me down and has to be cuddled. He lies in wait in bathroom door so he can be cuddled when I'm sitting in there. If I'm gone, he will prowl the house fussing and looking for me. Yoda is a great protector. He has guarded baby birds fallen from nest from the other cats. He breaks up catfights. He was only male cat with several females, and even though all were fixed, he still acted like their protector, so we call him The Sultan with his harem. He looks out for them, breaks up fighting among them, and expects them to believe he is alpha. They, of course, just ignore him for the most part. We can't say the word "cake" around him unless we are prepared to give him a bit of angel food cake. We spelled it out for a short while, but he even caught on to that. So, we keep a cake in the fridge for him at all times, and give him a little pinch now and then. It has to be accompanied by milk, of course. Yoda used to not eat raw meat, so when the girls got scraps of meat, he had to have cake instead. We got him sheared last spring for the first time; he looked like a giant fat grey squirrel. Victoria, who dotes on him, didn't recognize him and hissed at him for weeks before finally realizing it was him.
