Arrival Story:
I worked in a veterinarians office. One of the regulars was a sphynx breeder who was always asking me to take one of his older kittens or a retired breeding cat because he knew how much I wanted one. I refused because I already have a cat with FIV. One day he came in with 2 kittens because they couldn't walk. Turns out the mother had bitten and beaten them all night. They couldn't walk because they were swollen with infections. I agreed to keep one as incentive for them to survive. The little girl died but the boy pulled through. He's covered in scars but otherwise normal. I had him vaccinated and luckily my FIV positive cat doesn't have any teeth left to transmit the virus with!
