indoors Arrival Story: Little Paul and his sister Tess were rescued in Washington, DC, along with Serena, from a hoarder situation. They were only four weeks old when they arrived.
Serena shows sometimes it takes a village to help the little blind ones.
These kittens came from a hoarding situation by a well-meaning elderly gentleman. He was feeding all the local strays but did not get anyone fixed. Off course, they kept reproducing. Someone finally got involved and put out a call for help. They reached a wonderful rescuer who had no idea what she had really walked into. This gentleman probably had 50 or so cats and many litters of kittens. Many of the kittens were sick.
Both Tess and Paul were very sick and and blind. With medical care, love, and attention, we're delighted to report that both are now fat and sassy kittens who love to run and play. Wrestling and playing with their catnip toys are their favorite ways to spend the day. Lives Remaining: 7 of 9 Forums Motto: Ready to Rumble! Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary was started to answer the need for a safe place for blind cats that were deemed unadoptable by regular shelters and were going to be killed just because they are blind.
We are a registered non profit with the state of North Carolina. There are no paid employees, only volunteers, so all contributions go directly to the kitties.
Rescue is about restoring hope and dignity to creatures for whom no one else cares about. We are but humble vessels to help these magnificent creatures find their forever homes. The responsibility is big but the returns on our emotional investment are greater. You cannot place a value on the look of contentment that comes when an animal is clean, exercised, warm, fed and safe for the first time in its life.

Sweet Jasmine Delilah has invited me to play a game! I LOVE games!
Just copy the questions and deleted my answers, if you're invited to play, too. Then tag four furriends to play along!
Have fun!!!!
1)-What color is your collar? I don't have a collar. If I did, I think I'd choose blue. I can't see colors but blue sounds like a pretty color.
2)-What kind of food do you eat? At our rescue, we eat Authority brand kitty food. I love it in any flavors!
3)-What are your favorite treats? I like cat treats of all varieties, but chicken is my particular favorite. Mmmmmmm!!!!
4)-Do you have a Valentine or significant other? No, but I have lots and lots of furriends!
5)-Do you get table scraps? No, we only eat kitty food.
6)-What is your favorite toy? Anything catnip!!!! Blind kitties just love the smell of it.
7)-When is your birthday? I don't know! I'm a rescue kitty and we don't know for sure when I was born. Catster Meowmy made up June 15 as my special day, so I guess that's my 'almost-birthday'!
8)-How many times a day do you get to eat? We are fed twice a day.
9)-Do you have a favorite color? Since I'm blind, I can't answer this one. I do have a favorite sound, though! It's the sound of someone coming to cuddle with me!
10)-Do you hope all your pals put this in their diary? Oh, yes!!!

The blind cats are SO excited!! Our rescue has the chance to win $10,000.!!!! I don't know much about money, but the humans seem to think this is a LOT.
The best part is...our Catster furriends can help! And it's so easy!
