Playing with her brother Paul!
Anything she can climb or that has catnip!
She'll eat anything!
Playing with anything & anybody!
Little Tess and her brother Paul came from a hoarder situation in Washington, DC. They arrived along with Serena and their story shows how it takes a village to help the little blind ones.
Tess, Paul, and Serena came from a hoarding situation by a well-meaning elderly gentleman. He was feeding all the local strays but did not get anyone fixed, and of course, they kept reproducing.
Someone finally got involved and put out a call for help and reached a wonderful rescuer who had no idea what she had really walked into. This gentleman probably had 50 or so cats, and many litters of kittens. Many of the kittens were sick. When she first arrived, Tess was sick and blind. With love and care, now she is a healthy, sassy little girl. Soon she will be old enough to get spayed, and we will be removing one of her eyes. Tess loves to run and play, and she thinks your legs are meant for climbing. She's all kitten and all fun!

Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary was started to answer the need for a safe place for blind cats that were deemed unadoptable by regular shelters and were going to be killed just because they are blind.
We are a registered non profit with the state of North Carolina. There are no paid employees, only volunteers, so all contributions go directly to the kitties.
Rescue is about restoring hope and dignity to creatures for whom no one else cares about. We are but humble vessels to help these magnificent creatures find their forever homes. The responsibility is big but the returns on our emotional investment are greater. You cannot place a value on the look of contentment that comes when an animal is clean, exercised, warm, fed and safe for the first time in its life.
Please visit our website at www.blindcatrescue.com to find out more and learn how you can help.

(Note to those that I tag...Just copy the questions and delete my answers. Then tag four furriends to play along!)
1)-What color is your collar? I don't have a collor but I think if I did...it would be pink! I'm a blind kitty but pink sounds like such a pretty color!
2)-What kind of food do you eat? Here at Blind Cat Rescue, we eat Authority brand foods. I'm a big fan of the chicken flavors!
3)-What are your favorite treats? My favorite treats are anything soft and chewy!

The blind cats are SO excited!! Our rescue has the chance to win $10,000.!!!! I don't know much about money, but the humans seem to think this is a LOT.
The best part is...our Catster furriends can help! And it's so easy!
All you have to do is visit the link below. Fill in a few fields of information, and viola! You've voted for Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary of North Carolina! You can even vote anonymously, if you prefer. (Whatever anonymously means...)
So please vote for us today. Tell your furriends and ask them to vote. We want to build a new cattery so we can save more blind cats. Wouldn't that be a wonderful way to start the New Year?

I got tagged to play Thanksgiving Tag! I has to name five things I's thankful fur then tag five furriends to play along.
Here I goes!
1. I's so thankful fur my Catster furriends!!! They's become good furiends to all of us at the Blind Cat Rescue. Catster folks is the best!!!
2. I's thankful to be living at the Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary. I had a hard start to my life. (You can read my story on my page.) Since I's blind, I probably wouldn't have survived being taken to a shelter. Shudder!!! Instead, I has a safe, warm, loving home right here. Isn't I a lucky kitty?
3. Another thing I's thankful fur is that I got to stay with my littermate-brofur, Paul. Not many cats gets to stay with their birth-sibs, so I's really, really lucky. I's very thankful fur Paul!!
4. I's thankful fur my sense of hearing. Even though I's blind, I can hear the catfood cans pop open! I can hear the birds sing. I can hear mousies running through the grass. I's a lucky kitty!
5. I's SO thankful fur my guardian angel cat - China Doll!!!!! (She's the one who tagged me!!) She watches out fur me all the way from the Bridge. Isn't I lucky to have a beautiful angel like China Doll watching over little old me? I luv you China Doll!!!!!
