Winning the hearts of all who meet her! She's also figured out how to run across the room, latch on to Meowmy's leg, and climb up into her arms. Ouch! Those little claws are sharp!!

Arrival Story:
Darcy was found at my workplace. After checking the neighborhood, it became apparent she'd been abandoned. Just a tiny kitten, she couldn't have been over six weeks old. As the designated cat-rescue-person, I naturally took her home with me.

Bio:
Darcy is an absolute joy! She is an expert cuddler and loves nothing more than to wiggle under my chin and nap. She is a licker, too! She licks our fingers and faces just about any time we're holding her. She takes her tiny paws and brushes our cheeks and chins. When she's very, very happy, she waves her paws in the air! Our sweet angel-cat Dylan used to do that, too, and it's a very poignant reminder of the wonderful cat we loved and lost. Darcy was named for the song "Darcy Farrow". I'm a guitarist, and I was playing that song Darcy was brought into the room and I saw her for the first time. It is the perfect name for her. She's just a Darcy! UPDATE: 9/9/08: Darcy had her first vet check today. Like our cats Bo & Seven, she is also FeLV positive. It breaks our hearts, but as we've done with the other two kitties, we've committed to giving her as healthy and happy a life as possible. Bo is going to be four years old this spring, and so far, he's doing great. Seven turned one this summer and is also healthy. We're hoping and praying that Darcy will be strong and healthy for a long time to come. Please give her your purrs.

Purrs of Thanks to Everyfur...

Meowmy has asked me to write a thank you note from the Bridge. It is so very beautiful here! I'm able to walk again and run and chase butterflies!!!!! I was so sick after my surgery and just kept getting worse and worse. Meowmy and Purrdaddy knew it was time to let me go to the Bridge. I just closed my little eyes and slipped away.

Meowmy still can't write much about me without being teary and upset. She wants to send individual THANK YOUS to each and everyfur who sent a Power of the Paw, Angel Wings, Rainbow or any other special gift or rosette while I was sick or after I left for the Bridge. But she just cannot do it. She's crying as she writes this and writing so many notes is just too much. Their hearts are still broken though they know I'm safe and happy and that one day, we will be reunited once more.

Please know how much your purrs, purrayers, and messages mean to Meowmy, Purrdaddy, and to me. She has read each and every one many times and they have brought such comfort. We hope this note will say all the things Meowmy just cannot write to each of you right now...

Bless you and cherish each day with those you love - human, feline, or canine...

Today is a strange day! Meowmy has taken away all my food and water! She lets my brofurs and sisfurs go downstairs where I just KNOW there is FOOD, but I isn't allowed to go! WHY???

Meowmy sez it's 'cause I's gettin' 'fixed' tomorrow. I doesn't understand what that means, but it sure doesn't sound good.

I's been feelin' funny recently. I meows a lot and crawl around like a hunkered down dog! I doesn't know why I feels so funny, but maybe gettin' 'fixed' will help? I sure hopes so!

Meowmy is worried 'bout me 'cause I's FeLV positive. I doesn't know what that is either, but me, brofur Bo and sisfur Seven all has it. She's askin' all our furriends to purr fur me. Purring is always good!!

I guess I'll find out tomorrow what about me needed fixin'. Sigh...I sure is hungry!!

Wheeeee!!!!! PURRRRRRR!!!!!!

I's a Daily Diary Pick AGAIN!!!! Tanks so very, very much, HQ! I feels like the most fortunate kitten in the whole big old world! I's been Happy Dancin' all day long - well, I took a catnap this afternoon but I doesn't think that counts.

Meowmy let me climb up on her desk and see the 'puter screen where my name wuz listed as a DDP. It's so 'citing to see my picture there on the internet (Whatever that is...?) for everyfur to see. I thinks I's so very, very lucky!!!

I loves Catster and all my Catster furriends!!!!!!
