Arrival Story:
Orphan kittens were brought to our rescue and taken to another fostercarer, while the lady was there she mentioned there was a pregnant mama roaming around. We were expecting bad weather in the next few days and worried she would have them outside. As soon as the lady caught her she brought her to the rescue. The mother is super friendly!! She loves getting attention all to herself when taking a break from her kittens, purrs and lets her kittens be held with no problems.

Bio:
We are Autumn's kittens. We went to the bridge today, October 23, 2008. Our mama got sick when we were 3 1/2 weeks old. We all went to the vet and Mama was given medicine we couldn't have so we had to be taken away from her and bottlefed. The next week we had watery eyes and we went back to the vet. We were given eye ointment, but still too young for the other medicine. We got worse and went back to the vet. We were told we had pink eye, by this time our eyelids were so swollen no one could see our eyes. We got a shot of medicine to bring down the swelling, were switched to eye drops, and were put on antibiotics even though we were so young. The swelling decreased enough to see our eyes and they were now completely white. We went back to the vet and were told we had Herpes. We went to another vet the same day to see what was recommended for the rescue to do. We were told to continue treatment for another week and a half and come back. We went back today and had not improved much. Our bellies were huge, two of us were irreversibly blind, two of us were not breathing normally, and one of us that was blind was starting to lose his actual eye. We were diagnosed with FIP. Since we had been on antibotics, tried three different kinds, for over a month and still had such a great infection in our abdomen we were advised we would have no quality of life and a very short life no matter how much vetcare we got. We would've needed alot just to stay alive. Foster Meowmie signed the paper and we went to the bridge.
