Quick Bio:

Birthday:
August 1st 1988

Coloration:
Brown Tabby

Likes:
Being held and cuddled. If she really knew and was comfortable with you, she would sometimes wrap her paws around your wrist and lick your upper arm for all she was worth. We suspect this was due to her being weaned too soon.

Pet-Peeves:
Being bathed or having her ears cleaned. She also didn't appreciate the other kitties (especially Thomas) getting into her "space" or teasing her.

Favorite Toy:
a little grey mouse with a red nose.

Favorite Nap Spot:
on the sofa, on top her special little heating pad or in the kitchen in a spot of sunlight.

Favorite Food:
Yogurt, virtually any flavor, but we only allowed her to have an occasional bit of plain with no toppings (she liked to lick the inside of the cup).

Skills:
Dialing the phone and hiding whenever unknown guests came over.

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
Boo-Boo was found as a tiny young feral (or semi-feral) kitten in an old cinderblock pumphouse on a vacant farm. She had two sibling kitties in the same litter, an 0lder(?), larger sister (later readopted and named "Whiskers"), and a brother. We had discovered the kittens late one afternoon when they hissed and spat at us from a pumphouse window. The mother cat was off hunting (or somewhere) and had not been seen. She had left them on an old dirty twin-sized (bunkbed-type) mattress which was stored at an approximate 60-degree angle. Since we had nothing prepared for them, we decided to come back and get them the next day. When we returned, however, the male kitten was sadly found lying dead on the floor. :-( His neck appeared to be broken, probably from a fall from the top of the mattress -- although exactly how it happened we don't know. We buried him and took the other two home, who were by this time no longer afraid of us for the most part. Although the mother cat was later seen around the area, we could not get her to come with us and didn't have a live trap with which to catch her. We left her some food, but could do little else and so her fate is unknown. Both kittens were taken to the veterinarian, where they were deflead (they were anemic) and treated for eye infections. The vet said they were about 5 weeks old at this time. They were bottle-fed three-times per day and gradually (but maybe a bit too soon) weaned off onto solid foods. After a few weeks "Whiskers" was adopted by a friend who worked with the Coast Guard, and we kept Boo-Boo, who was suspected to be the runt of the litter.

Bio:
Boo-Boo crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 8:45 a.m. on November 9th, 2006, at the ripe old age of eighteen. She is dearly missed by her family and all those who loved her.
