Likes:
CHICKEN! Especially grabbing it right out of human hands! I also enjoy slurping noodles, attempting to nibble on hands, and batting at women's necklaces when they lean down to pet me.

Pet-Peeves:
Being ignored, the evil vacuum, and closed doors and cabinets.

Lately I've discovered how fun it is to rip all the kleenex out of the box! I also love my feather toy on a wire and all kinds of string.

Favorite Nap Spot:
A lap or the old green wingback chair.

Favorite Food:
Chicken, chicken, and more chicken with a side of cat grass.

Skills:
Licking unguarded plates and cups, purring incredibly loudly, eating a ton, and pulling myself along with my claws while lying down on the carpet which makes mom laugh at me a lot...

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
I wanted a dog at first, but the cats at Town Lake Animal Center were so sweet that I decided to get an adult cat. But on my second visit to the shelter I noticed two new orange tabby kittens that looked like identical twins, brother and sister. They were curled up together and obviously loved each other...I couldn't get just one! They came home with me and I named them Henry and Beth. I've always adored orange cats and these two pumpkins are the loves of my life!

Bio:
Henry was named after King Henry VIII of England, because he was a famous redhead who also enjoyed eating! And I firmly believe it's appropriate to name cats after royalty. :)

Henry's Adventures

More dietary adventures and fun with the kleenex box.

September 15th 2008 2:00 pm   [link to this entry]

Well, today mom gave us Turkey flavored Wellness canned instead of chicken like yesterday. If chicken was a 10/10, turkey was more like a 5/10. It stunk worse for mom and Beth and I didn't like it nearly as much, but maybe we were just sleepy. We'll keep testing all the flavors until mom has a good idea of our favorites!

Today I discovered a fun new game...pulling all the kleenex out of the box! Beth helped some, and together we managed to rip out all of the kleenex! Then the best part was ripping it to shreds and rolling around in the destruction...ahhhh this is the life.

This is Henry signing off to go NOM NOM NOM some more dinner...more ADVENTURES soon! After my dinner, and a nap, and another nap for good measure. And maybe another nap.

Chicken, glorious chicken

Yesterday we tried Chicken flavored Wellness canned food and it was a big hit, we scarfed it down! Of course, since I LOVE chicken and go crazy for it mom knew Chicken flavor would be a safe bet. :) In fact, the other day I jumped up straight on the kitchen counter, a new trick of mine, and managed to unwrap a chicken breast leftover from mom's dinner that was in some aluminum foil. I then grabbed the entire chicken breast in my tiny mouth, ran around the apartment snarling with mom chasing me, and tossed it around playing with it like a mouse until I finally had to admit that it was too big for me and let mom take it and pull it into pieces for me to eat. Mom laughed and kissed my nose afterward, so I know my cuteness can be relied on to get me out of trouble. Hehehehe. Except I think mom learned never to leave any food out, even for a second, so I'll have to be crafty...

There will surely be more ADVENTURES in the life of Henry soon!

Meow! Hi and welcome to my diary!

STRING!!!! I love it! It's so darn fun to play with and play with until I wear myself out! So far I've been in my forever home for two weeks and things are going great. I think I've broken in my owner by now and my control of the house is nearly complete. I'm so glad I finally stopped sneezing, I was pretty miserable there for a while. Now I feel much more energetic and can get back to causing trouble ASAP! Will update with my latest ADVENTURES!
