A Day in the Life of.....

Just rambling a little....

My mom brought home 3 kittens that were rescued from a shelter in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. One of the kittens got adopted, but the other two are still living with me and honestly, they are starting to get on my nerves. The orange one likes to bite my tail when I'm trying to sleep. The calico keeps jumping on me like I am a trampoline. I guess they're fun to have around, but sometimes, they drive me a little bit crazy.

Another thing that has gone on recently is I got a new toy. It's a laser light, and it's a lot of fun to chase. I'm smart enough to know it's just a keychain in my mom's hand, but my sister (Little Face) chases the light as though she can really catch it. I have to laugh because Little Face has cerebellar hypoplasia which makes her very clumsy and wobbly. It's hilarious to watch her stumble around after the light. The kittens go wild with it too. I chase it sometimes, but only because it seems to make my mom happy. I do a LOT of things to make her happy. I even let her put stupid hats on me, but only because I love her so much.

All in all, I've got a pretty great life. I have unlimited cat treats, toys, and my favorite stuff in the world CAT NIP. I can't complain, especially since 4 years ago I was hungry and homeless cat. My previous owners were awful people. They had my ALL claws removed (front and back, how CRUEL!!!) and then put me outside completely defenseless. Finding my mom is the best thing that ever happened to me. If I have to chase laser lights and wear hats to make her smile, well so be it. She does a lot for me too.
