Arrival Story:
3 years ago, Our cherished Cat Dolly died after a long illness. Our house felt so sad and empty. I contacted a local cat shelter and told them we would like to adopt a cat that others might find unadoptable. The shelter found us Chelsea and this is her story! Chelsea was born in London England. She and her littermates were taken to the Celia Hammond Cat Rehoming Centre. The whole litter was sick with Cat Flu. All the kittens died but Chelsea. Chelsea's eyes were damaged from the flu and she had to undergo several surgeries to save them. She was rehomed but 6 years later her family got a divorce. Chelsea was taken back to Celia Hammond's. She stayed there five months. No one seemed to want this beautiful little crosse eyed cat because of her history of eye problems and the fact that she is partially sighted. She became a favourite of Celia Hammond, founder of the home who desperately wanted to find her a nice home. She decided to send her to Hastings to see if a home could be found for her there. She was sent down from London on a Monday, the same day our cat died. When I made my request for a special cat, they thought of Chelsea, the poor little lost soul! They even brought her out to our home. We were thrilled when we saw her little head pop out of the carrier, followed by her great big body! She has been with us ever since, bringing us joy , love and happiness!

Hi Everyone! I havent written in my diary in over a year! It iz cause my Mummy iz my typist and she keeps running to America on the other side of the door and back! I have not seen hers since December 2010 and Daddy says she has too much going on to types my diary! Imagine that?
Everyday when Daddy talks to Mummy on the computer, I hear their thoughts in my head and I run to the door and sit by it cause I just KNOW that is where Peoples come and go from. If Daddy is typing to Mum on the puter then she MUST be on the other side of the door, cause that is where America is, Right? Sometimes Dad talks to Mummy and I can hear her voice on the puter and of course I run to the door but she keeps not coming through it...
I heard something the other day I think might be special though so I want to tell you about it. My Mummy and Daddy are engaged! I know about this cause I was engaged to Skinner one time before we were married... Daddy says when he and Mummy are married then after some crazy peoples called "Immigration" stamp a little book she can come and stay with us "Furever". I am so excited I just hads to tell everyone!!! I loves you all even when I iz not here in my diary. We still read everyones diaries even when I iz not here myself... Love, Chelsea Louise

I told Mum, I really wanted to write a tribute to my friend Alfie but she said she had to wait a bit because she is so upset...
When I first came to Catster, Alfie's Mom, welcomed me with the open arms of friendship and made me feel at home... Alfie and Wally and Teddy sent me my beautiful Hazel Lucy blanket, which I cherish. Alfie's Mom was very patient with my Mom, teaching her the tricks of putting things on Catster and the codes, whatever those are... Alfie's family became part of ours, in our hearts...
Now we hear that our sweet little Alfie has had a freaky accident that took him to the Rainbow Bridge way too early. We know his wonderful Mom now has a broken heart and so does his Granddad, brother Teddy Bearz and baby brother Milo.. I am soooooooo sorry he is gone. I wish I could bring him back but I can't, so I will thank Alfie instead
Alfie:
Thanks for the love you gave your Mom.
Thanks for the hugs you gave Teddy and then shared with us.
Thanks for your beautiful orange and white beauty and expressive eyes.
Thanks for teaching your new brother Milo all your best tricks and showing
him how to share his love.
Thanks for having the expressions of an angel and the bounciness of Tigger.
Thanks for your friendship.
Thanks for my Hazel Lucy blanket.
Thanks for being Sir Alfred Kneads-A-Lot.
Love, Chelsea Louise

It Skinner and My First Anniversary!

Oh brother! Would you look at my background? It has TURKEY'S on it! Well, I can tell you who the turkey is, it's my Mum...While she is galavanting all over the world,(yep, she is back in Alabama), I have had to deal with the embarassment of having Turkey's on background all the way through Christmas and New Year's! What is she like? Not to mention, she just won't help me with my diary much these days!
Anyway, Pardon my Turkey's! Today is mine and Skinner's first anniversary! Happy Anniversary at the bridge sweet Skinner!
You know I proposed to Skinner after just 3 months of knowing him! I knew he was the one for me, so why wait? I knew we would have limited time together here on earth as he had feline HIV and feline leukemia so we just got on with it! Our Mum's had so much fun helping with the wedding preparations... Our wedding was pretty different. First off, no one on earth knew about it except me and Skinner and our Mum's.... We ELOPED.... Our angel friends flew down from the bridge and for 1 hour only, we are allowed to stay. It didn't matter that it was really only an hour because at the bridge you can make time as long or short as you like... We even had Sir Sonny Bono sing at our wedding!!! It was so beautiful... After an hour we were whisked by to our earthly homes. We knew Skinner would probably return for good before I would but we also knew what a beautiful place it is! Skinner did indeed return in November. I miss him so very much, he was my love and my inspiration but I know he will be waiting for me when my time comes. I also have lots of other friends who have gone to the bridge last year. Mummy and I have cried so much for so many of our friends last year and they are are sorely missed. We have met some new friends and we will love them too! I am sure there are more coming that we don't even know about yet...
Mum is in Alabama again until April... We still hope some day she will be able to stay with us for good. In the meantime Deebie is making sure Mum is Ok...
Ok, Now I have to go call Mum and tell her to get those turkey birds off my page! I want some snowmen! Love to each of you, Chelsea Louise
