Arrival Story: 3 years ago, Our cherished Cat Dolly died after a long illness. Our house felt so sad and empty. I contacted a local cat shelter and told them we would like to adopt a cat that others might find unadoptable. The shelter found us Chelsea and this is her story!
Chelsea was born in London England. She and her littermates were taken to the Celia Hammond Cat Rehoming Centre. The whole litter was sick with Cat Flu. All the kittens died but Chelsea. Chelsea's eyes were damaged from the flu and she had to undergo several surgeries to save them. She was rehomed but 6 years later her family got a divorce. Chelsea was taken back to Celia Hammond's. She stayed there five months. No one seemed to want this beautiful little crosse eyed cat because of her history of eye problems and the fact that she is partially sighted. She became a favourite of Celia Hammond, founder of the home who desperately wanted to find her a nice home. She decided to send her to Hastings to see if a home could be found for her there. She was sent down from London on a Monday, the same day our cat died. When I made my request for a special cat, they thought of Chelsea, the poor little lost soul! They even brought her out to our home. We were thrilled when we saw her little head pop out of the carrier, followed by her great big body!
She has been with us ever since, bringing us joy , love and happiness!
Bio: Chelsea's Mum is from America!
Chelsea's Dad is English!

Thank you so much to all our friends for your condolences for my angel Skinner. It has been a very difficult time. We always knew it could happen at anytime but it was still a great shock, when it happened so suddenly. Please continue your purrs and prayers for Skinner's family, they are missing him terribly. He was a big personality and has left a huge hole in all our lives. We are glad he is no longer in pain but we loved him so much and wanted to keep him here with us.
We love all the love and support from our Catster family. Skinner now has his wings and he has started his new duties at the Bridge.. Special thanks to all of our friends who have sent zealies.... Zack, Sparkman, Lola, Family of Bentley, Hooch, Calvin, Teddy and the Meowler Family. If I have left you out it wasn't done on purpose, we want to include everyone and we love you for taking time out to remember Skinner. With a sad heart and much love, Chelsea Louise
It is with a broken heart that I must say My husband Skinner has gone to Rainbow Bridge. He was the bravest cat ever and Mum says he was the bravest creature man or beast she she has known. Skinner had so much going against him, yet he loved life so much that he fought on and on. Because he chose to fight to live, I was honored to meet him and become his wife for almost 11 months!
Skinner had feline aids and feline leukemia... Both were a death sentence. Alot of cats have one or the other but Skinner had both. A cat that could live as long as Skinner did with these 2 horrid diseases is unheard of...but my brave boy did it! He was so sick so often and things were often hurty but he kept on going for all of us who loved him so. My MIL is just the greatest and so is his vet Dr. Heather. They made sure he had all the love and care he needed to stay here as long as possible. He also had the love of his brothers and sisters, Lizzy and Lennon the boxers, Baby,Winston and Binx his cat siblings.
I fell in love with Skinner the first time I saw him playing with his ball. He had the most beautiful golden cat eyes ever. He was kind and loving. He asked me to be his girlfriend and last December, I PROPOSED TO HIM! I know this isn't regular but I knew Skinner might not have long and figured we should just get on with it!
We had a very special wedding! A few minutes before midnight on December 31, 1998, angel furs came down from the Rainbow Bridge and carried Skinner, Me and our wedding party to the Bridge where we were married in the first minute of the New Year... Then we were whisked back to our earthly homes. Now Skinner has returned to the beautiful Rainbow Bridge. I know all our family and friends have welcomed him there and I know it is beautiful there....but... Oh How I will miss my sweet husband... I must now go and weep for my Skinner..
I found out from my Mum that my friend Calvin has Cancer. I am so sad he is sick and so is my Mum. Our eyes have been leaking alot. I cuddled up with her tonight so we could purr for Calvin together. He was one of my very first friends on Catster. We were captivated by his beautiful green eyes and winning personality! He and his family have always been very loving and supportive to me and we want them to lean on us now that times are tough.. Calvin, we are purring that you will get to stay with us a while longer because we love you so much but if you have to go to the bridge, you will have so many friends waiting there for you. You will know either way that you are surrounded with the love of your fabulous family and all your many furry friends and human friends!! Our hearts are with you wonderful orange boy!!!
