DDP again

Well I got a DDP twice in one week. Something is wrong with the selection process. Even if they only pick cats who posted in the past 2 weeks, I'm still getting selected too often. It's hasn't been worth celebrating lately. What makes it special is that it's a rare event. It soon loses its appeal.

Dad's been cooking a lot today. He made chicken stock and just now put the last of it in the fridge to cool. What works best for him is to save chicken bones from when he goes out and freeze them until he's ready to make stock. Then he puts them in the oven for a while to dry them out and kill any surviving germs from when he at the chicken (he's the only one who has it, so it's OK) before putting it in the pot with carrots, onions, etc and let it boil for 5 or so hours. Best part is that since the chicken was already cooked, there's not much fat in the broth to remove before freezing.

He also made pickled onions and a variant of beef bourguignon for lunch this week. But I'll stick to my kitty food. Daddy's really tired now and there's more work to do so we're signing off!
