Arrival Story: I hear people say that I have quite a story to tell. I know most of it, but I was a baby when the story happened so I'm just glad it's way in the past for me now and I don't remember it.
My mother had three babies and she was the best mom I could have hoped for. But she wasn't treated well, that's for sure. There was a very mean person who used her as target practice with his bb gun. She ended up with an eye that couldn't see. Then he chopped off her tail with a machete, and buried her alive. My siblings and I were frantic to find Mama, we were trying desperately to get to her. But we were very tiny kittens, our little paws didn't make a dent in the dirt above her. There was a hero who saw us, though, and saved Mama. Thank you, Hero!
Almost Home Foundation was our second hero. All of Mama's medical needs were taken care of, and they kept us together so my siblings and I could be normal kittens with a mother. When we were old enough I got to have my own foster Daddy. I liked him instantly and decided to stay. It took six months of adoption show failures to convince him to keep me.

Bio: My sister Skeeter is still looking for a home. Please, if anyone is in Chicago's NW burbs and wants an awesome kitty, give her a home. You won't regret it!

Hooray I'm a daily diary pick! That just leaves Lena for being chosen. Heh heh
Anyway since I am a DDP I'll answer the questions asked by everyone about the cow kitty. We don't see many kitties out here. This is only the second one. The other one lives across the street where we can't see him. Since this is only the second kitty we saw in 5 years of living here and since there are sightings of coyotes several times a year we don't put out food. If the local doggies don't get it, the racoons or birds or squirrels or whatever will. The odds of a kitty eating the kitty food outside is too small to bother. But if the kitty comes back, Daddy may change his mind.
Daddy liked his first day at work. He worked there before as a consultant seven months ago and many people remembered him. There was work to do and things to fix. It was nice to be back. But he's gone almost 11 hours! I liked it better when he worked close and didn't have to take the train.
Oh, Daddy put out some scraps of prime rib he brought back from Catmas dinner with his human family. Yum yum!

I've been doing OK. If you want to know what's been going on, check out my sib's diaries. Daddy wants to get at least one more entry for me by year's end. He got back from visiting his family for Catmas. We missed him, Sarge most of all. I was excited to see the neighbors come over. I loved the attention.
Tonight I saw something outside and I went to get Sarge. He hissed at me and ran to hide. Daddy saw outside the window was a big cow kitty. He made sure we were away from the door and went out to try and catch him but he ran away. Daddy saw it was big like me so hopefully he had a home. We didn't want him around. It's hard enough getting quality time with Daddy when there are three of us. We don't want another kitty!
Still, no one should let their kitty outside on a night like this. There's no snow yet, but it's cold. We hope that kitty will find his way home or at least to a safe and warm spot. It's still Catmas time, no one should be in need like this. :(

Daddy had two different groups of friends over during the weekend. I was going to show them what a good kitten I can be so they'd know I wouldn't knock over anything. It didn't go too well. I jumped up on the table to sniff around and pushed the glass bowl of cookies near the edge. We stopped it before it got too close. Then when someone spilled a drop of hot sauce I went over to try it. Ahhh!! HOT HOT HOT!! I ran away as fast as I could and everyone laughed! Stay away from red sauce kitties!
That was on Friday. Today I sat down on some books to sniff the new people. I only met them once before and I wanted to check them out. Well in my sniffing I pulled down a bag on the floor and spilled out a few things. It wasn't a big deal, but it didn't convince anyone I wouldn't knock over a glass again.
Oh, Daddy gave me treats for being his fall-cat. It shouldn't happen again, but at least I got yummy noms from it.
