Arrival Story:
I hear people say that I have quite a story to tell. I know most of it, but I was a baby when the story happened so I'm just glad it's way in the past for me now and I don't remember it. My mother had three babies and she was the best mom I could have hoped for. But she wasn't treated well, that's for sure. There was a very mean person who used her as target practice with his bb gun. She ended up with an eye that couldn't see. Then he chopped off her tail with a machete, and buried her alive. My siblings and I were frantic to find Mama, we were trying desperately to get to her. But we were very tiny kittens, our little paws didn't make a dent in the dirt above her. There was a hero who saw us, though, and saved Mama. Thank you, Hero! Almost Home Foundation was our second hero. All of Mama's medical needs were taken care of, and they kept us together so my siblings and I could be normal kittens with a mother. When we were old enough I got to have my own foster Daddy. I liked him instantly and decided to stay. It took six months of adoption show failures to convince him to keep me.

Bio:

Some bad news and DDP

I got picked for DDP again! Wow! Lena is SO jealous! I got to go in the garage tonight and got some extra pets when Dad was talking with his parents on the phone.

Which brings us to the bad news, their cat, Gus, probably has FIP. It's not official but he's showing the symptoms. Last year they lost their cat, Wally, to it. So the vet things one might have given it to the other while playing or something. We're very heartbroken over this. Gus wasn't the friendliest of cats but he loved hanging out with Dad and his Dad while they watched The Red Green Show on IPTV. Please purr for him and all the sick kitties out there.

Thank you everyone who sent their congrats over my DDP!

More nail trimming

Daddy prepared a lot yesterday to get me out to get my nails trimmed. He closed the door to the bedroom and bathrooms and opened the door to the spare bedroom (where there's no good hiding places). When he came home last night he was ready to block the way to the basement and corral me into the spare bedroom. But what happened is that when I came over for pets I got close enough so he could pick me up and put me in my carrier. We had to wait a loooong time at the pet store. Word got out about the $5 nail trimming and there were lots of dogs there. I hid under my blanket for the first 20 minutes then slowly started to come out once I realized the doggies couldn't get me (but the mini-human was a new experience that I did NOT like). Anyway we had to wait for 45 minutes but it was worth it. I behaved myself pretty well so Daddy kept his promise to take me straight home and not stop for dinner.

I really needed the trim and going there isn't too bad, just a lot of waiting in the carrier.

Oh my. This is the third time this month I'm a DDP. And not once for Lena MOL! Daddy slept in today and just saw it. This morning I was hiding on the bed when Lena came by to sit on Daddy. I jumped out and gave her a smackie paw and she ran away! I just want to play.

Yesterday Daddy planted some plants and seeds in pots outside. The weather was very nice. We had the windows open a long time. Some kids came by and I got to watch them. We had several kids move into our street this year. I don't mind them since sometimes they stop on the sidewalk to look at Lena and I.

Have a wonderful day everyone!
