Leave a treat for Marcellas

Nicknames: Tubby Kitty

Arrival Story: I was adopted just a few days after my owners had to say goodbye to another cat, Babe. Interestingly enough, I was dropped off at the Humane Shelter on the exact same day as they let go of Babe. I also once lived in the Los Angeles, which means "The Angels" and Mom is a big Angel believer, so it was fate that brought us together.
My previous owner found a new boyfriend and couldn't keep me, but fortunately I have a permanent, loving home now.

Today, the sun was shining and a crispness was in the air. Perfect for a casual stroll outside the fence, right? Well, apparently Mom wasn't as understanding about it as I was since she was in panic. I did manage to at least be lying on the front stoop when she finally opened the door!
The front yard isn't all that exciting really, so I'll probably just hang out in the backyard from now on where it's a lot more quiet....except for when them dang dogs come outside.

When people ask "Who is Marcellas?", what should I answer? I'm a hunk of lovin'? Nope, but I am very loving. I love spending time with Daddy as he naps downstairs where it's cool and quiet. I also LOVE being outside and just taking in the sounds of nature. If it was up to me, I'd spend most of my day and night out there. However, Mom and Dad want to make sure I don't get into any trouble so it's inside for most of the day.
Yesterday I did manage to get a squirrel upset. I was just sitting beneath a bush, minding my own business but keeping a watchful eye on it, when it kept squawking away. The neighbor brought out her little dog and both of them looked at the squirrel, wondering what the heck was making it agitated? Just because one looks at you doesn't mean that something will actually "happen" to you. Okay, so that IS sometimes the message but yesterday I wasn't in the mood to climb that dang tree :P
Later on today the dogs will get to spend some time with Mom and Dad at the dog park. Why aren't there parks for us cats? Doesn't anyone think we'd like to get out and meet other felines? *makes note to send to Dept. of Parks later*
Oh well, for now I'll just have to enjoy the comforts of my own backyard and Satin. At least the two of us get along pretty good. She's in charge, but she's not as demanding as she probably could be. She lets me be her "manly protector" when the dogs get too annoying. She can use those long claws of hers to attack in the blink of an eye, so make no mistake in thinking that she can't protect herself. It's just sometimes she likes a "man" to step in and make her feel like the Queen that she is :)
