Arrival Story:
I went down to the Boston Animal Rescue League shelter some months after my previous cat Molly died, and met Fugue and his brother Toccata. Toccata was at the front of the cage demanding attention, but I wanted to meet his brother to make sure Fugue could at least tolerate me if I got him to keep his brother company. He turned out to be just a little shy, and when the cage door opened he came to the front and climbed up on my shoulder and leaned against my ear and purred. His brother did the same on the other side, and that was that -- the kitties came home with me that day.
