Arrival Story: Adopted from the Animal Rescue along with his non-maternal brother Kacee. Daddy picked him out. It was love at first sight. Thank you to the Camden County SPCA, and to the Deptford Petsmart!

Bio: He didn't speak for the first 2 months we had him. Then, one day he just "plurrpped!". We were like, "Did Grizzy do that!". Now he won't shut up. Everytime he hears his name, or wants something, that is his response..."Plurrrpp!" He is our most playful one and really doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He's always happy, always in a sweet mood. He and his brother are very close, and are always sleeping, eating, or playing together. Doodles has accidently gotten out a few times (our cats are strictly indoor) and he hasn't been the same since. He is always trying to sneak past us to get out that front door. Once he does get out, trying to catch him is a job in itself! Every time we get within 2 feet of him, he'll just "Plurrrpp!", and run off. One time, while we were out trying to catch him, he saw a fox cross the street. So what does he do? He follows it! Daddy caught him just in time before he became an appetizer. He lives for treats, and he lives for his Hartz feather ball. I don't know what we'll do if they ever discontinue that toy! We have gone through 3 of those toys in 3 months because he destroys it! He loves it sooo much, he even sleeps with it. When it comes to milk, or even people food, he could care less. It's Cat treat, wet canned food, dry cat food, and the occasional tuna for him. Doodles, for some odd reason, has a fascination with our bathroom, specifically, our toilet, he sleeps on it, and next to it, and we aren't really sure why. He, of the 2 cats, is the awnry one, always getting into something! He is really one of the most sweetest cats that I have ever owned and met. He has really brought alot of love and laughter into our home. We love our cats so much. We say they are our "children before children", and it's true. They have brought so much to us. They were a Christmas/Housewarming gift to ourselves for 2007, and one of the best decisions we ever made. We love you Grizzly!!!

I had to start this diary because I really needed to get something out that has been bothering me for a while now.
There is this homeless cat in the neighborhood. He is one of the reasons why I started running out the door whenever the opportunity arose. I would look at him, living so carefree and wild, that I wanted a taste of that too. To tap into my "animal instincts" and run around the yard, stalk prey, and climb up trees.
My Mommy and Daddy don't allow me outside though. They say it's unsafe, that we live on a busy street and I might get hurt. That someone might catch me, think I'm sooo cute and keep me! My Daddy admits that if I wasn't already his, if he found me outside, he'd keep me, nomatter if the collar had a phone # or not! He really loves me.
Now, I've gotten out a few times. And I would always run around with this homeless cat. My Mommy and Daddy even thought the cat might be a girl, because he would come around looking for me at the window. And I would want to get out so bad when he would do that, that they just assumed that I had a "girlfriend".
He is actually my friend, and when I would get out, we would gallavant all over the neighboorhood, getting into everything we could and having soooo much fun, all the while my Mommy and Daddy were chasing after me.
Well one night, I was out for almost 3 hours. And my friend and I had gotten into the neighbors yard. He got upset with me over something (I can't quite remember), and he started chasing me and hissing at me.
From that point on, our friendship was over. He really scared me, and I had to run under a car to hide from him. He has never apologized for how he treated me, and ontop of that, he would make fun of me! Telling me I'm not a "real cat" and a big baby, cause I was domesticated.
Well what I am sooooo frustrated about now is that one night, my Mommy was outside, talking on the phone, when this "ex-friend" came up to her and started crying. She assumed he might have been hungry, and so she fed him. I couldn't believe it!!!! I mean, this cat catches everything! I admired his skill at one point! He would catch squirells, birds, and bunnies! Which is one of the reasons why my Mommy REALLY doesn't want me hanging out with him or going outside, she doesn't want me to kill any animals, especially when I really don't need to hunt for my food.
So now, this cat comes by every day! And my Mommy feeds him! And It's MY food!!!! I just sit at the window growling and hissing. I don't know what to do. My Mommy tells me that not every kitty is as lucky and loved as my brother and I are, so she is just trying to help him out. I'm really trying to get over this, but I cannot stand to see him out the window everyday. I am forced to learn the meaning of acceptance now. And that's fine with me. But if she starts giving him MY treats?!?! Oh, there is going to be a SERIOUS problem!!!
Till tomorrow,
Grizz.
