Hello, my purry friends,
It's been quite awhile since I have posted. Mommy just has been busy, so lots of catching up to do.
Mom and Dad AND the dog went away for a WEEK and left me here all ALONE! Can you believe that?!?!? Oh, wait, Mommy says I am being over-dramatic (she called me a drama QUEEN!) and that she had people (STRANGERS!) come in and take care of me while they were gone. Mommy says that leaving me home alone is less stressful on me than taking me to the kennel and I have to agree. When they got home, Dad slept in their bed and Mommy slept in the guest room and I slept with her. Daddy was sick and needed his sleep and Mommy wanted to give me special lovin time. So, we snuggled all night. purrrrrrrrrrrr
Mom and Dad moved the bird feeder from down in the yard where I couldn't see it to up on the balcony off the kitchen. JOY! I can see through the drapes and watch the birds or I stick my head under the drape so they can't see me but I can see them clearly. Mom laughs at me chattering at them. Now if only that glass door wasn't in the way, I'd catch me a bird. POUNCE!
One good thing about this time of year is the bugs coming in. I caught a giant mosquito and killed it on the kitchen floor. Mommy wasn't too happy, as legs and wings were everywhere, but the bug hunter strikes again! I leave them everywhere!
The last of the news is that what Mom calls dental floss tastes nasty! She puts it in her mouth and well, it's a string! I can't resist a string hanging, so I attack! Mommy is careful to never leave it laying around, but let me tell you, she doesn't have to worry about ME eating it. Since I showed so much interest in it, Mom played with me with the floss for awhile. All was well, until I bit it. GROSS! She says it's mint, I say it's horrible. Mom LAUGHED at me - how RUDE - trying to get the taste out of my mouth. She said she's never seen that face before, eyes scrunched shut, ears flat, nostrils flared and tongue wagging. She won't see it again, either, that's for sure. I was very careful to keep only my paws on that floss stuff after that.
Well, that's all the news from here. Talk to you soon, my purry friends!

Cousing Bailey was kind enough to tag me in this little game and gave me a SHRIMP rosette! Shrimp is yummy, even virtual shrimp!
What is your favorite olympic sport? 50 yard dash.... I chase my little laser light for about 50 yards and then lay down and wait until I'm ready to chase it some more.
Do you prefer summer or winter? Summer, there's lots of bugs to chase and leave on the floor for Mommy to clean up in the summer.
What is the quirkiest thing you do?
Look at Mommy, give her my cute little brrrrrt noise and flop over on my side whenever she walks by me.
Do you have a crush on any other kitty out there and if so, who?
No one in particular, though my new friends are awesome!
What's your favorite rosie or zealie and why?
I love the rainbow star from Oliver! It's so pretty!
I could do one tag or both tags, doing both cause what I *don't* like is easier, MOL.
This tag is about things that I don't like.
Here are 5 things that I don't like:
1. Don't like kids. See, when I was a little kitten Mom's friend came to visit with her kid and he lugged me around all day around my chest. I was bruised and since then, no kids, thankyouverymuch.
2. Strangers. I like Mommy, Daddy and Aunt Kathy. No one else is welcome in my domain.
3. THE VET! Don't make me go there. I hate him, he's mean and sticks me with stuff and gives me ouchies.
4. The car. I start meowing deep, terrible meows from the instant the car starts until it stops. Some moans and yowls in there too.
5. I really really don't like it when Molly wants to play with my laser light with me. She gets so excited and chases me!!! One of these days, I'm gonna whack her good!
Now I have to find some friends to tag! Better Watch Out, you might be it!

Sometimes I think Mommy isn't all that bright. MOL
Tonight she discovered (after 7 years, mind you) that if she is standing and sees me and leans over and calls me, not only will I come to her, but I will do this cute flop over on my side thing for belly rubs. *I* of course have known this all along. Guess she can be kind of slow, sometimes. Problem is, she KEEPS doing it now. She thinks it is cute and is surprised that I like belly rubs, too.
Tonight I let her hold me on her shoulder and give me big hugs and snuggles. Let me tell you, I must love her a lot because it took every ounce of my willpower to not claw my way free. I hate hugs, hate being confined. And really, it wasn't as bad as I thought. I might actually allow her to hug me once in a while. On MY terms, of course!
So, in my earlier post I was hoping she'd get the laser light out. SHE DID! HAPPY HAPPY, JOY JOY!!!! I got to chase it around the house a few times and then that darn beagle butted in and started chasing it. If that's not bad enough, when I chased it into the kitchen she ran around to the other kitchen door and chased ME! THE NERVE!! So, had to swat her for her impertinence! She took all the joy out of the game for me.
On a happier note, Mom shared her YOGURT with us tonight!! Did I mention I love yogurt? It wasn't much, but it was yummy!
Well, chasing that light has this well rounded kitty worn out, so I'm off to find somewhere soft to rest.
Love and purrs, my feline furreinds!

Last night Daddy went to work so Mommy let me sleep with her!! I LOVE IT when Daddy works nights!
So, I slept in the bed with Mom and the dog slept on the floor (where she BELONGS! - below ME!) on her blankie.
Daddy came home and kicked us all out of the room so he could sleep to go to work again tonight! YES! More sleep with Mom time!
This morning I got to lay next to Mom on the couch and get lovins while we read some catster diaries and introduced ourselves. It was wonderful.
I am really REALLY hoping Mom gets the laser light out and plays with me later. Just hope that the stupid DOG doesn't spoil our fun - as usual. Do you have any idea how goofy a 30 pound beagle looks chasing a tiny white dot around?
Well, meow for now, will update later!

Today didn't start out so well. Mom got up and came down to the basement. She takes care of me and the dog 1st thing - even before her COFFEE!
Well, I was being me at my most adorable. She let the dog out and was getting our food and water ready and I was rubbing on her legs and prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr-owwwwww-ing at her. Look Mom, I'm here, love me, I'm just all that and more. Mommy said not now, she had a headache. I hate it when she has those migraines, she hurts and she is no fun. I think snuggling with me would help, but Mom just wants to be left alone.
It got better, though. Dad and Mom went out for awhile and then Daddy went to work. Mommy must feel better, because we got some good snuggle time in tonight. I drooled all over her purring and she pet me and talked to me and told me how beautiful I am. As if I didn't know.
Well, that's it tonight, Mom is going to bed guess I will too.

Mommy says I have attitude - also referred to as cattitude. I don't think I
have an attitude, I'm just me.
I don't like people, so what? I love Mommy and Daddy and like Aunt Kathy.
I don't like change and I don't like other animals.
When we moved to our new house, I hid in the basement for a long time. That's after Mom found me hiding under the mattress in their bedroom and kicked me out so they wouldn't squish me in their sleep.
Then, THAT DOG came. Her name is Molly, she's a beagle and Mom says she's my little sister. She is NOT my sister, I'm an only child and don't forget it!
I hid in the basement for 2 weeks when Molly came and Mommy cried and told Daddy that Molly had to go back because it wasn't fair for me to be so unhappy. Dad convinced her to give me more time and well, I adjusted. I'm still not thrilled with the dog, but I tolerate her. When she gets too close, I swat her!
Don't tell anyone, but when they aren't looking, I will sometimes chase her. I guess she's OK - FOR A DOG - but I'm still number one.
